  GB member visits Bolton--UK

  ive pasted the following from a uk xjw facebook page.:.

  i found out last night that thursday,just gone, a member of the gb came to rosehill congregation in bolton to tell them the gb will now be more active and a more prominent part of their lives, this is to build trust and make it so when they revel new direction in the future, people don't push against them and they follow them.

  it's a long shot shot but what are the chances he will be at any other meeting in this district this sunday and how can i find out?.

  especially to those who know me in person, i wanted to share with you my joy today.. i spoke today very long with my jw family of my position (away from the org, separated and gay), without any criticism or attack or threat.

  quite an achievement.. why about this change?

  parents age is moving them to see the reality of the situation.

  The anti gay taboo is thousands of years old.

  We dont need imaginary sky fairies (no pun intended!!) to tell us what to do with our life. Living by stone age beliefs is just no longer credible in this day and age.

  Funny how all these anti gay "CHRISHTUNS" dont agree with slavery or the treatment of women, and have ham and eggs on Sunday before church.....

  Thoughts on the new 'God's Kingdom Rules!' book

  i was feeling a little melancholy earlier this week and i decided to start reading wt literature again, just to see what was new and improved.

  and it seems that, as has consistently been the case, the more i read of the literature, the more i see that i made the right choice to leave.. the first chapter goes into explaining what the kingdom is, then it looks like they must've essentially cut and pasted from the recent wt study articles about the 'harvest' illustration and about the two groups of anointed = one generation, but there's a third group of anointed who aren't part of 'this generation' (but, i imagine, probably will be someday, i mean, if two groups decades apart in age can be part of one generation, why not three?).

  it's interesting, looking at it again after all this time.

  I love "In Search of Christian Freedom" - Ray demolishes all the chronology shite and exposes their squirming to hide the lies and silence the people with brains and courage enough to speak out to expose them for the Charlatans that they are.

  i feel like the certainty, magic and wonder has gone out of my life.

  this has left a huge hole in my soul.

  London ZOO(??) I read in the paper had got some primates from a French zoo.

  They didnt understand the english for "food" and other instructions. Then one of the keepers tried talking to them in french. Then they knew what he was talking about.

  At the time the Evolution?Creation book came out in the 80s, I had already read some science books on evolution. I knew some of the qoutes were misrepresented, deliberately, and later books like "Is there a God who cares?" deliberately distorted information about earths early atmosphere.

  Other doctrinal changes also shook my confidence in Gods Mouthpiece, and conflicts with scripture, and the 1935 date for ending the heavenly calling. On top of that I was on the receiving end of much unkindess and vicious gossip.

  That was my wake up call.

  Exitting took longer as evidence of the lies and bully boy tactics built up, until I had no reverence or respect for this self appointed prophet/liar.

  It was the Generation Witchtower of 1995 that made me queasy for a fortnight, that when the dying really started.

  would you convert to islam if they were holding your head on a ax block, ready to swing the ax or sword to cut your head off?

  we know there are people who died for their political and spiritual values, would you convert to islam to avoid death?

  for atheists, can you justify conversion to preserve life since there is no life after death?
