  Implications of Dropping "Types/Anti-Types"

  i've seen this part of the agm folded in with other topics and poked around, but no really critical discussion of the implications.. .

  the hermenuetics of the type/anti-type practice was a big deal to me in realizing the tatt.

  i searched high and low for a rational basis for concluding that god was communicating in a type/anti-type format that wasn't special pleading and circular.

  i always felt sorry for the daughter who had to spend the rest of her days at the tabernacle because her father made a numb-nuts promise to god.

  Yeah they water it down. It's the end of Leviticus (?) where God speaks of a soul devoted to destruction cannot be ransomed. So - yes the early Jews practised human sacrifice just like other people's. Abraham finding a ram caught by its horns in a bush is echoed in Mesapotamian myth, and is prolly just a parable about why human sacrifice, other than babies in Canaan stopped.

  In the accounts, it is interesting to note that Abraham objects to killing entire cities, but does not demurr when asked to butcher his child.

  i cannot wrap my mind around the fact that there is jw tv.

  being a born in and living most of my life hearing how tv evangelism is wrong and lazy preaching yet seeing this unfold solidifies this religion as a cult!.

  i remember back when i began my fade a few years ago i told my brother during an argument how this religion is just like any other religion in that its bull.
