Religious nuttery alerts
by Simon init seems like every couple of months i notice we've acquired a new religious nut and they have been posting away, annoying everyone and filling the forum with crap.
it's disheartening to see people (even moderators!
) have been having conversations with them and there are pages and pages of insults and crap - we're going to try and avoid this in future.

can somebody put it in this separate thread - it's important.. he says how billions of innocent children and other inoffensive people will not get to enjoy their ice cream, as they are about to be annihilated.
they count less than mere "amuse - bouches".. what reward will all those get who peel off their tight pants and spanx before it is too late?.

How many of these lead to baptism? A study can now be counted from the second return visit, as long as you open a publication, even on the doorstep, and discuss a couple of paragraphs. Like texting is now doing rvs.

New requirement to become an Elder or Ministerial Servant!

he said that the c/o told them this new requirement.. "men that wanna be an elder or ministerial servant has to go out to field service on sundays.
if there is an elder or ministerial servant that is not going out to field service on sunday can lose the priviledge".

I remember a bro who was under restrictions. He was going out every Sat Sun and other days. When the eld-ughs came to review his progress, they actually said, we need to see you out in service regularly. Not one of them had been out on the service as regularly, or they wd have seen this..... Fools.

Is the WTS effectively 'pimping out' sisters?
by Simon ini can't remember the topic with the discussion about the talk where they suggested that sisters should only consider ministerial servants as potential marriage partners but think about the implications more.. are they trying to use the potential affections of sisters to enourage brothers to do more and work harder?.
isn't this a form of 'pimping out' the sisters by limiting their attention to the people contributing to them?.
it seems to cross a line to me but i guess it's not vastly different to "only marry another jw".. what do you think?.

by dugout injust out of the blue i asked my wife whos been a jw for some 30 odd years can she explain the overlapping doctrine.
she said to me she never heard of this and said she will have to look it up.

The OVERLAP came at first by arguing that Joseph and all the other sons of Jacob were described as a generation- because their lives overlapped .
"SIMILARLY" the lives of annointed ones in 20th cent, etc. There is NO similarity. Since all of Jacobs sons had the same father, you'd have a hard time proving their lives didn't overlap.
