I remember hearing a talk (like 25 years ago) at a CA about encouraging people to come to bethel.
The speaker said "Jehovah will not lay you off like worldly business do, you have job security in Jah's Org."

i was baptized at age 16 about 33 years ago mainly to please my parents and to fit in, cuz everyone was doing it.
and i was able to answer all those questions in the organization book because i have a near photographic memory, as it turns out.

Yes, you're right I do know the answer.
The example of Jesus going to Satan to be tested by him, flys in the face of JW's who are told to avoid apostates at all costs.
I just never thought of this example before.
This would be a good point to use on JW's and their indoctrination of extraordinary fear of apostates.

by ziddina inthis topic is in sympathy for all jehovah's witnesses visiting this site who have had bad experiences after they left the jws and went out into the world.
i've heard many ex-jehovah's witnesses saying, "well, i went into the world and found nothing but trouble!!

The Official What happened at the Memorial thread
by truthseeker ini thought rather than everyone start their own topic relating their experience of attending the memorial, we keep it simple and have just one thread.
if anything, it's saves bandwidth.. i will be going to the memorial tonight and will post my experiences afterwards.. all the other memorials i attended, i was an active jw, so this will be my first experience as a submarine witness.
it's weird being on the other side so to speak.
