  Jephthah's Daughter

  i have read somewhere that jephthah's daughter did not really go into temple service but was a victim of ritual sacrifice.

  the bible says that after weeping over her virginity that the maidens would visit her annually.

  how could they visit her if she was killed?.

  Completely forgot about this story.

  Reading about it again without Watchtower blinders on is funny because I'm still unlearning JW programming.

  It isn't difficult for me to believe now that Jephthah sacrificed his daughter. It was happening all the time back then.That's why Jehovah gave laws against it and why the prophets were constantly condemning Israel for doing it. Seems like It was all the rage back then. It was so pervasive back then that 2 of Israel's kings Ahaz and Mannaseh tried it out. They killed their kids about 600 years later after the whole Jephthah blunder. Imagine the shit going on with the common Israelite grunts for 100's of years in between the Judges period and Israel's last king..

  alot of my witness friends were excited sisters can now wear pants and you can say hi to disfellowshiped folks but what about important stuff child molesters in the congregation you need 2 witnesses blood fractions are fine but not whole blood????

  Arguing against celebrating a birthday has got to be the stupidest things ever. Golly could it be that the parents are happy to have and appreciate the blessing of their child and want to show love for there child???

  BTW why did the angels in heaven and the three kings celebrate Jesus's birth he didn't do anything yet?

  When I was a JW I had a beard occasionally. One time a sister seen me after I shaved my beard off and said approvingly "oh I see you don't have your beard anymore." I responded "yes I do it's just really, really short." End of conversation.

  Beards are good now

  No field service reporting is good now

  No suits and ties is good now

  I think birthdays for children under 13 will be good one day.

  The sister pants thing shows the mind control the cult has over members.

  If you're a single sister what could they have done to you if you wore pants before their decree?

  Nothing but you were still subservient.

  I guess they could have not called on you for the study or not allowed you to be on stage.

  On a positive note I don't think any JW's are brainwashed enough to fly airplanes into buildings.

  Their leniency and allowance of drinking alcohol.

  No punishment for being a glutton.

  Their dislike and distrust of the government and politicians.

  Man and woman marriage.

  Abortion is wrong.

  Their teaching allowing birthcontrol, enabling JW's to have sex without having children.

  For the first time in the history of the world on July 26, 1931 at a convention in Columbus Ohio, Joseph Rutherford made the announcement that true worshipers of God need to be called Jehovah's Witness. Up till that time no one was aware of or used that special, unique and holy name to identify themselves.

  What an amazing revelation Jehovah gave this faithful and discreet slave !! The Judge now newly crowned holy heavenly king and priest urges all mere mortal humans on earth to drink up. Why? Because in heaven there is no beer that's why we drink it down here.

  damon does have some light swearing here and there, but he claims to be a practicing jw and gives the whole witness theology about the signs of the last days & breaking down the words of the lord's prayer regarding god's will being done on earth.. starts at the 28:55 mark.

  This has got me looking into Damon a little forfor the first time. He seem's like a jackass. Divorced since 2000 didn't see his baby for the first 5 weeks. None of his kids are JW. lol
