  Something about the timeline in this story doesn't jive?

  In 1955, I wanted to attend the “Triumphant Kingdom” assemblies in New York City, U.S.A., and Nuremberg, Germany.

  Ted was at the convention in Nuremberg, Germany, and we spent some time together. A romance blossomed. Following that convention, Ted returned to Australia and I went back to Vancouver, but we kept in touch by letter.

  After some five years in Australia, Ted returned to the United States and then came to pioneer in Vancouver. I was happy to see how much my family liked him.

  We were married on December 10, 1956.

  History states that in Ancient Greece, beginning in 776 BC, wreaths of laurel leaves crowned victors of athletic competitions of the ancient Olympic games. Wreaths of bay laurels were also awarded at the Ancient Greek Pythian Games which were held at Delphi in honor of Apollo (every four years from the 6th century BC). According to Greek Mythology, Apollo, the Olympian God and son of Zeus, was in love with a nymph named Daphne. As the tale continues, Daphne fled from Apollo, asking the river God for help; she turned into a Bay Laurel tree just as Apollo approached her. Apollo embraced the tree, cut off a branch to wear as a wreath and declared the plant sacred.   Through most of the Watchtower's history the GB has been a mysterious group of men.

  R&F JW's have glorious ideas about them; intelligent, scholarly, wise, spirit directed, respected ect.

  Most R&F JW's have never met or heard them speak.
  

  Watchtower would have been smart to keep it that way.

  Suicide - How many do you know within the JWs

  one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?

  if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.

  Felt I needed to add yet another casualty to your list, so sad.

  My brother in law committed suicide last Friday night. (the JW memorial)

  He was never baptized but studied. I would describe him as a JW wannabe.
  He never felt good enough to be one, also he just couldn't make sense out of all the convoluted JW doctrines.

  He had lots of other issues for sure, but I'm sure the shunning by the JW side of the family absolutely played a role.
