i know we've heard a lot of horror stories about jcs and getting disfellowshipped.........................but what is your experiences of continuing going to the meetings to be reinstated.............what did it really feel like?.
did you mind being ignored or did you understand it and take it on the chin?.................................what were your familys treatment of you during the period of having to sit on the back row????.
when i saw ppl comming in late and leaving early .....................i just knew it was wrong, wrong , wrong to treat ppl that way.. in fact i got told off for smiling at a sister who i knew genuinly wanted to come back,( the pos wife told me ) i did it out of human feelings and was then blasted.. after she got reinstated, i was the first person she came upto and introduced herself.
I've never experienced sitting in the back row because I was required to - being a witless in good standing until I walked away.
I have my dad's memorial service to attend. I WILL NOT sit in the back unless those are the only seats available. If I am requried to sit in the back for reasons other than the hall is full, I will leave. Simple enough.

my husbands cousin lives in a small rural area in illinois and over the weekend crop circles appeared in their soybean crop .
i just talked to his cousin , and she is beside herself from all the publicity .
she said the phone started ringing at 6am this morning .
Come on guys. Everyone knows it's not aliens, but piskies that make the crop circles!
my old computer died and was eaten up with porn viruses...(long story, no pun intended) and well i thought i had lost this.
so today i am working and i came across this file my brother said he tried to save what he could on.
i lost it and today i found it and have to share!

i am proud to announce the delivery of a bouncing 'baby' girl, 120 or so pounds and about 63 inches long, after an uneventful 11 hour drive.. in other words, i've "imported a daughter" (she's posted a little here under the handle abbadette).
she's sixteen now and has decided to come and live with her dad.
as this involves changing country, leaving her mum, brother, sister and friends behind, and going to school where she doesn't (yet) understand a word of the language it is (in my biased opinion) really rather brave.

for those of you who are over 50, what advice regarding living a meaningful life would you give to the younger crowd?
do you wish you took a different path earlier in life?
I'd tell my grandson to avoid almost all debt, get the best education possible, don't drink, don't do drugs, don't smoke, learn your trade by age 30, go into business, avoid partnerships, plan for retirement by establishing at least 5 separate passive income streams, save, save, save.
Only do work you enjoy, only spend time with nice people, stay away from religion and scams. Learn to be a pragmatist and a skeptic, challenge everything. Be honest and generous and learn to play at work. Master all new technology early.
