My only words of wisdom: Be patient and gentle, loving and kind. Show your support of your wife in whatever you/she does. She's already thinking and acting on her thoughts and beliefs. I doubt it will take very much.
i am 40 years old and i have been hearing the same old song by jw's "armaggeddon is around the corner" since i was a toddler.
it has to come to their minds that how long are they going to keep saying that armaggeddon is "near" or "around the corner"?

I've found older "elders" and other older sheep who knew about 1975 are loath to admit their own excitement over it. Let alone that the prophesy prediction existed.
2034? Why not. It's as arbitrarily "out there" as the new millenia was for us who grew up in the 60's and earlier.

i was reading the other day, that people have become less supportive of natural disaster relief, because they are happening to often.
think about it, since december of last year i think we must be nearing at least a half a million people dying in natural disasters.
we had the tsunami, the hurricanes, the mudslides in central america and now this earthquake in asia.
Part of the strain is since 9/11 there has been so much medial and governmental (from the top down) fear-mongering that it wears on the nerves.
i was reading the other day, that people have become less supportive of natural disaster relief, because they are happening to often.

I know it sounds weird, but I wonder how much more the population can take before public panic happens. Am I the only one thinking about taking the governments advice and getting some extra water and food and a disaster kit together, maybe even a few more weapons? Just wondering.No you're not weird. Mozz and I have put together a disaster kit this past month. Enough water and food for two people for a week. Documents and valuables in a fireproof/waterproof safe. Weapons are unloaded, but packaged to get out safely in a hurry. The next thing we need to do is have an actual evacuation plan. I know it may sound over the top to some people, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Our disaster kit didn't take much for us to put together. I posted a couple links awhile ago about how to put one together, but I got very little attention/response to it. I think most people are just like many of the disaster victims - poorly prepared for anything happening to them.
Not at all over the top.... the old song "pack up your troubles in your old kit bag" has a deeper meaning. When I was in the process of leaving a violent relationship, I packed up toiletries, undies, towel, and some money in a waterproof bag and hid it under my spare tire in my trunk. I wired a car key to the frame so I could get in if he took my keys again. And a housekey was in the fusebox of the car. Once I had done that, I felt a great deal of relief. We have had an emergency box with emergency gear in it. But we've moved our stuff so much in the last couple years with remodeling etc., that it's time to go through it all again.

i managed to get out of going to the assembly, using an excuse about my stomach, and the complications which follow.

Yes, you need ammunition for dealing with child custody etc. Get as much info as you can well in advance of needing any of it.

as many of you will know, yesterday i received my scan results from the haematologist.
when i entered his office he was beaming and so i thought the news would be good.
the chemotherapy has shrunk the cancerous lymph nodes in my stomach substantially!!
Some further great news! My spleen and liver, which had grown extremely large and were causing me worry, have also shrunk! They are both virtually back to normal!!Hot Daymd, the news just keeps getting better and better.
