Depends on what your definition of evolution is. There is always change, everything is in a state of flux, evolution viewed as advancement of a species undoes its self, because life has de-volved, things left to their own development are becoming destructive. The mental development has lead to "cures" for disease, but not eradication of it the human element, which the idea of evolution, if truth, would. God exist as we see HIM, as individuals. That’s why there are so many faces of God, the problem is the disagreements of views, which do not allow us to she our God clearly enough to let everyone else alone.

So, I've been thinking . . .
by minu inpretty new territory to me but i'm doing it anyway.
since my exodus from a religion that can only be described as "all that is evil", i haven't been able to pray or determine whether or not there is actually a god.
here's a thought that i'm stuck on right now.

The Memorial
by TheDoctor ini saw some mention of this in another post, but i wasn't sure if there was a topic about it.
being raised in the "truth" its always pointed out that even people who haven't been to meetings in years still come to the memorial.
ive noticed that a lot of time that is actually the case.

Abstain from Blood...
by hotchocolate inmy first post was a few days ago now, and finally my heart has stopped pounding whenever i log on.. :-).
so, i have been in the truth all my life, 3rd generation witness, never left, never been in trouble, pioneered for years, and am a respected member of my congregation.

SYMBOLIC...you have hit it pretty much on the nose, its not the amount of blood, cant drain it all from the meat we eat, how much more of being a witness is symbolic? Baptism and dedication? Dead to our old ways, made alive in Christ? And where these out ward symbols are outlawed by governments, are they not forgone because they are only symbolic?
Holding blood as sacred becuase Jehovah has said to, can be done in our hearts, your have raised very valid points about blood and it connection with death.

Why don't I see any pastors or clergy on this forum?
by moshe init just occurred to me that i have never seen a member on jwd who was a minister/priest/rabbi/monk,friar,shamman, etc.
maybe i have just missed their posts and then again, maybe they don't come here for some reason.
i know they must come in contact with jw's and ex-jw's all the time.

thanks for the post, I have corresponed with Ray and it was good to see him, downloaded and burn to cd the first two clips, my grandfather was baptized in 1911 and road the train with the judge.
