How can I help my JW son?

how can i help my son?.

after speaking with my son (a jw) today, i realise that he has many hurt feelings that he hasn't dealt with.

his childhood affected him more deeply than i realised because he hasn't really opened his heart like he did today.

The question is: Is a false happiness, enough? I say it is not. One needs to have some fulfillment in their life, and everything the borg offers is a half filled glass, half filled with polluted waterdown "truths", and the other half, emptiness. They hold their captives with lightswitch love, they judge ou at ever meeting, you dont attend, every field service opportunity you miss, every independent thought ou express, every false step you take, flip on flip off. The one mark that Christ said you would know his follows by was? publishers record card? meeting participation? field service? how you look up to an org or men who take titles on themselves? That one identifing mark...LOVE.

Let your love, your natural, real, spiritual love guild you in how you deal with your son, sometimes hard hitting truths are not the answer, these only help to change perspective. The ablity to percieve the hidden agenda of any org religion is what needs to be developed. The borg has honed that perspection to a fine edge, and directed it in the minds of the rank and file at all other religions, thing is when one begins to think, to reason, and they turn that double edged sword, that light of discovery on the borg, well it has been witnessed here a thousand times and as many reactions.

The only person you are responsible for is you and I wish you peace and some light in you sons life.

i normally come on here, and am strong and very vocal in me distain for the borg and all the things it entailed.

just feeling a bit sad for myself tonight and wanted to tell my friends.. my birthday was yesterday.

What if an "annointed" sister legally challenged GB for her appointment?

of course they would disfellowship her faster than ...but if they included all races...the time could feasibly come when someone legitamately challenges the descrimination of having no woman on the gb..recently the law said a "fraternity" must allow women into its male brotherhood.

i can't help but wonder how absolutely incredible it would be if somehow someway a member of the "annointed" went through the american court system and forced the gb to appoint her to a place as the first women on the gb... a womans touch!......revolutionary....lol....

A "good" sister would never challenge the GB or usurp her submissive position. Have you never noticed that a a rule the anointed outside the GB are quite and demenutive, dosile creatures that are seen but not heard?

why didn't i follow the way of jesus and go to bethel?

along with my other topic dealing with my searching for my place in this town, i come across plenty of people who follow their parents, go to church, and vote for bush and all that boring stuff.

at subway today, there was a large group of happy christians ordering their food.

You give up a lot of information about your situation. "I was raised in the truth" is a dead give away of "where you are", you were in the truth, the truth was not in you. So after following yur folks to the meetings and out in service, the motions you went throught from birth no longer have a hold on you,because they were not your own. You saw enough through the borg about other religions that you can only condem them. You inner beliefs are the only things important to you, they are yours. You will be supried at how many truths other organizations have, if you exaime them, none of them have them all.

i hope it worked.

my intent with the title of this thread was to attract both believers and non-believers.

whenever a thread appears promoting the wonders of jesus, it will inevitably develop into a back and forth discussion ad nauseam.. i was born into a family that believed there was a god, he had a son jesus and his word was the bible.

There has to be belief, before there is dis belief. So belief is not affected by our views, its still there. It doesnt go away because we no long believe.

you know before this marvelous age of communication, you would say that i had to go looking for dirt on the society, but i was thinking about that.

isolationizm was a great thing for the society, because no knew what was going on, the people who study and questioned were put out with no one ever to hear from them again, what were they to do?, take out an add in the local newspaper to be heard and have a fair hearing?

but now people can compare and learn from their research and inspiration.

I was just so excited about my little revelation, that those graves became so appearant, all those the society has buried, they try to "clean up" and make what they have done look good and right, but they sink to high heaven.

No pun on the spelling, I'm just not edumacated

the question does say it is witnesses getting these study groups up.

one scripture you will not hear during the part is the one scripture jesus himself spoke of small groups getting together, this one:.

matt 18:20 "for where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there i am in their midst.".

And where shall she go? She'll usurp Jehovahs authority bestowed on you as her head, whether you are a beleiver or not? What a good witness. As long as you are not trying to convert her, she has no scriptual grounds to leave, theres that "light switch love" again, oh thats right in the "truth" you dont have to have scriptual grounds, just society grounds. In leaving she is condeming you as unworthy of forgiveness, she is stopping the blood of Christ being used for your sins, oh how the mighty say who is worthy of association and life?.

They can exaimin their situation with others who have suffered unscriptual shunnings by the society, and those inside who have become sickened with the politics and false prophesies can share where the bodies are buried in the those "whitewashed graves".

When a pilgrim was on his way to Jerusalem there was danger of his becoming unclean by unwittingly touching the grave of someone who had died in the open field. It was the practice that whenever anyone died in the open fields he was to be buried where he was found instead of being brought to the cemetery of the nearest town. These graves were whitened one month before the Passover in order to protect people from becoming unclean by touching them. It may have been these whitened graves that Jesus had in mind when he told the scribes and Pharisees: "You resemble whitewashed graves, which outwardly indeed appear beautiful but inside are full of dead men’s bones and of every kind of uncleanness."—Matt. 23:27.

Bugger - Elder pops around for a visit unexpectantly

just recently had one elder come around to see what what happening.

don't you hate it how they think they can just come around without calling first.

damn that annoys me.. anyway, he said whats happening mate, we haven't seen you.. i mention 607 and how secular works dont support this.

The town I lived in was real understanding about sidearms, so one day I was getting ready to go to the range and had the 44 mag smith strpped on and headed out the door, well, guess who was standing on my proch, thats right rlders one and two. I politely said I was on my way out. I had only cracked to door enough so as to conseal the fact I was packing, but the puhy bastards wouldnt take no for an answer. You should have seen the look on their faces when I openned the door all the way, they almost tripped over each other getiing off my porch. They had had me on the carpet for owning a weapon because I was an ex con, for going to prison for the truth. Really pissed them off when Carter gave me a presidential pardon. After I got out of prison the elders were really down on brothers for taking that stand, saying they were cowards and should have pioneered.
