as you know, my wife woke up about a month and a half ago.
recently, by "mistake", we talked with her mother, (a hard-core believer) some details that we shouldn't at this moment.
No..she regrets, the same methods of brainwashing used by the Nazis to make children turn in thier parants for the slightest infractions or suspecsions has her in it grasp.
sorry, that knife does cut both ways, and mom wont know it till family love bleeds out.
i see this a lot on this forum, loads of people saying they left jw's because of "hypocritical ....... ( put elder, pioneer, couple, sister, brother, governing body) here.. but?.
why would you expect any man-run organisation if you believe the bible, to have to be perfect and not be full of imperfect people that will come across as hypocritical?.
the bible examples from israelites onwards name anyone :- moses, king david, pharasees, paul the one thing the bible doesn't do is white-wash them it shows that however much we follow the laws we are always fighting our own imperfection usually failing every time and needing to be corrected sometimes punished (moses had to give-up chance of seeing the foretold land), so why do we hold this against jw's as a reasons not to be a jw's anymore?.

i made a big effort to get to the watchtower study today.
i have not been to the meetings much for months, but i figured this was a pretty historic "study" and i wanted to see reactions and how it would go down locally.
well a few things struck me as a bit odd in the study itself, and in the audience response as well.
Anyone posted a copy of th study issue?
i, as most persons, think a sexual assault of a child is a very horrible thing.
like most parents, i would want to put the person to death that assaulted my child in that way, but is that just?
i'm two ways about it: i feel for the child, and the child's family; but at the same time i am wondering if it is deserving of death?
People say that the death penalty is not a deterant, he sure wont do it again, will he? Oh but if he is locked away for life then he wont do it again, my question is why do we have to be punished by paying for his room and board all his life, sounds like society gets the life sentence. It doesnt make a statement to wouldbe criminals that they get to go to college and perfect their trade at our expense, while on vacation from their real jobs of wreeking havoc on society.
Society is beyond healing, criminals have all the rights and the victims have none. A neighbor caught a burglar and called the cops...45 minutes went by no police no call. If he had said he had him a gun point and was going to shot the SOB cops would have been there in a heart beat to protect the perp

Death...this was the sentence for those who prey on society, whether its a life of drugs, crime, sexual attack, murder, God set the law and HE knows we are imperfect and kill a few that are innocent to keep our homes safe, follow the law of execution and let God sort em out. He is the only one who can pronounce innocence.
i often think back to my childhood and discover that my memories are very patchy.
names, faces, school teachers, things related to being a brought up as a dub.
memories of some years are patchier than others - for example when i was about 10, we moved from the city that we had always lived to a small town, 2 hours drive away - we moved back to the city 3 years later - i remember very little of the first two years in that small town.. i seem to think that the years where the memories are patchy were times when i was quite unhappy.
You were taught that everything outside the org isnt worth remembering, you memories were never rooted in anything but the "truth", and your suprised that you cant remember normal life? You never had one.
All I remember were the beatings I got at home and from those worldly kids that pursectuted me for being a witness, different, when I was growing up, the opportunities I missed out on in education and posibly the entertaainment world, that non believing father that was never around because of the "truth". The "sister" my mother "partnered" up with that made my life hell.
Yes precious memories of being brainwashed and raise a good little JW.
i heard about a special group inside the organization.
its sole purpose is to find and judicialy process disidents (or apostates as they called them).
have you heard of such secret police before?
Oh yes, many times they are those who show up in a congregation, as serving where the need is great, is one cover, the other are brothers specically assigned to "help" a troubled congregation. My brother-n-law was one of those, strong judicial actions came from the borg based on his reports to them. Beware all the reassigned bethelites coming into your congregations.

well, i've told him "i don't believe this is the truth" like, 5 times now, just "i don't believe this is the true religion" tonight... don't know if there is any difference.... i get the feeling he thinks this "will just go away" although the other day he said he understood why i was depressed because "i'm deserving of death" and he would be too.
he didn't mean it, he's not happy on my new take on the jws.... anyways, i figure i'm gonna say everything i feel in front of the therapist, i need to tell him everything in front of a mediator... not just in a situation where he just thinks this thing will go away and can hurt me to guilt me into believing in the jws....
First I dont think a theropist can be objective in something they dont know or have experienced, second I would as if the judgement of deserveing death is from Jehovah or the WT, because they have been wrong before, and if its from Jehovah, then your husband is the second Christ speaking for God, and he must remember his pronouncements will come back on him and if he isnt perfect he will suffer that fate. I hate those judgemental, self rightous @%
as i am not a jw and never going to be one or study with one, can someone tell me what scripture they use to make everyone reject jesus.
it just feels to me like something satanic worshippers would do, not something christians would do.
it just seems so wrong to me
