Any changes in treatment of the disfellowshipped?
by fifi ini was wondering if anyone could enlighten me as to whether the acceptable way to treat disfellowshipped family members has changed at all over the past 6-8 months or so?
i'm getting the "brush off" more and more from my family and was wondering if there have been any modifications.
i suppose i should be grateful that they talk to me at all, when i read some of the posts on this board, but i can't help wondering.. thanks for any info.. fifi.

Well thanks everyone for responding to my thread. I'd just like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and all the best for the coming New Year.
Dansk : Sorry to learn of your illness. And for the way your daughters are treating you. I just hope that they (and all the others) will eventually open their eyes. Take Courage.
Best Wishes,

ever get that immortal feeling?
by what_Truth? ini was watching an old highlander rerun a while.
if you recall the show, the main character ducan mcleod was an immortal.
as such he would always feel a strong yet undescribable presence everytime another immortal was around him.

I have always had cats, usually two at a time but now only one as she's a "one cat family" cat and can't stand any competition. I'm also especially fond of horses, but had to find another home for mine last year when I became too ill to look after her myself.

LittleToe's Travels - Nov 2004
by LittleToe inso the prelude to this wee trip starts with work - doesn't it always.. as part of my recent job change i had to write a paper that needed agreement with most of the local authorities (health board, council - which is kinda like our version of city hall, etc.
) before it gets submitted to the ministers at the scottish parliment at the end of december.. well, after one long round of consultation (during which i produced a 39 page consultation document), another few weeks creating the first draft (another 27 pages) i was all ready to go to press the next day when i got an eleventh hour email (at 5:30pm, just before i went home).
it changed everything!

Congratulations on your Evangelist graduation L.T.
so that she could be "normal" again.
This sounds like exactly the same thing my mother said to me when I told her I was pregnant. All she wanted was for me to come back to the "truth" so that we could all be a "proper" family again.
Strange isn't it, peoples' perception of "normality"?

Whoever gets to be my Secret Santa, I did say that I'm not fussy. However, Gadget said to post some ideas: Anything Christmassy. I love animals especially horses and cats. I like the outdoors, so any nice pictures/photos of landscapes etc. I enjoy reading, but have a lot of books to get through at the moment. Anything that gives a clue to the personality/interests/whereabouts of my secret Santa. I'm really not fussy.
I hate fruitcakes.
You shouldn't be so biased. I'm married to one.

I remember the first time I celebrated Christmas. It wasn't a problem what people thought as I'd also moved, but I did have "guilt" feelings and thought I may be struck by lightning or something. Amazing just how controlled your mind can be.
Anyway, I think the best thing to do is just enjoy the whole festive season.
