For me it was based on how well I liked the class. If I hated the class I would not do the homework. But I was still able to pass the class. And for the most part school bored me. It wasn't challenging enough for me. I would rather go through about 4 chapters learn something and move on, not keep going over and over the same chapter for a week and then have a test on Friday. I guess that is why I did much better in Math and Science's classes than most. History and Government wasn't all that bad either. But I hated English and Literature classes. They seemed so boring and such. My senior year I ended up taking World History, the teacher gives all his seniors an A for taking the class. I think I worked harder in that class because I didn't want an easy A. Oh well life goes on.

True, worldly children have so many options for afterschool, but not alot of us did them. And most of us didn't do our homework either.

Is it the JW's or the God of the bible you no longer believe?

i have a question for the ex-jw's on this forum after months of reading the forum..... many say how good it is to be free of the oppressiveness of the jw's that they can now enjoy the freedom to... have sex, celebrate christmas, gamble, embrace politics etc.

there are still biblical scriptures and principles in place that if you still followed the bible would mean you avoid these things and yet these are now embraced as one of the perks of no longer being a jw so in my confusion i ask.... if these are what you want, isn't it more correct to say you no longer follow the bible as apposed to just the jw's?.

Ok, I am going to try to explain something that I remember from my childhood.

On Christmas Eve, the family would gather around the kitchen table or around Grandpa's recliner. He would have the family Bible in his hand, it was time for our bedtime story. The only story he would read for us that night was the Christmas Story, the birth of Jesus Christ. All of us kids would wait the whole year for this one special night. It was better than our Christmas presents under the tree or what Santa was bringing. That is the best Christmas memory I have. Yes I agree to a certain point that Christmas has gotten to commercial but at the same time, the only people we have to blame is ourselves. We elect governmental officials into office, And they take out God, Jesus in schools, work place, all most everywhere. But they still take an oath with the word "God" in there. If we are ever going to fix this we have to start with ourselves. And remember the true reason for the season. It should not be based on how much money you spend on each other or the latest hi-tech electronics. This country was found on a new Christianity, we need to remember that!

Just a note I was never a JW, I married into that cult, and it ruined my marriage. I have always believed in the Bible and in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

What is your favourite alcoholic drink at the moment?

so when i go out i usually have a cosmo, as you can tell im still channelling sex and the city lol, but... they arent very big so i've started drinking very berry cocktails which are also just as nice but much bigger, yum.

at home i tend to drink moscato spumante, which is delish too.

but im looking for new suggestions because im getting a little bored and want to mix it up a little.

It all depends on what I am doing that day or eating for dinner. I love Jack and Coke. But I also like Margaritas, Dacquiri's, Mai Tai's, red wine, Fuzzy Navels and very good Screwdriver sometimes. When I was in Florida my ex-stepfather -in-law would make me a Shark Bite. That would consist of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum and Orange Juice with a splash of Grenadine over ice. They were very yummy!

Apple Day is here again

well first off, i am mostly happy being single.

i don't have this big desire to get married again, in fact i am kind of commitment shy now, and don't know how i ever would be able to function in a relationship again.

but there are certain events and certain times of the year when i feel alone and would like a date.

I am happy that you want to date again. Just go for it. Try not to compare every woman to me. I wasn't the greatest out there, and still not. The world is big enough that you can find happiness again. Just be honest with yourself, and find the right woman for you.

i have been to mexico twice and canada twice.

she has been to canada once, and she lived in germany when her parents were in the military.

I lived in Germany for about 10 years growing up. We also got to go visit Austria, France, England . My biological father was in the Army, and so was my step-father. I loved it over there. I wish I could go back for good.

Hello I'm home!

i am back from vacation.

i had a wonderfull time.

can't wait until i move there in march.

The weather was great. Never too hot. No rainy days for me all week. I loved the area.

This will be very hard for me to move. I have been with my parents ever since Dave and I split up. And now living with my Grandmother and my parents. But I think in long run that I need to do something for myself.

I will be taking a position of a teacher at Trinity United Methodist Church Day School. I fell in love with the church and the area. And it doesn't hurt that I have a really great guy down there either.

So I am really excited about my move and everything else in my life.
