  Is the WTS stopping Scripture classes globally, or just Australia?

  my daughters scripture teacher recently told the scripture class that in nsw, australia there will be no more scripture classes.

  the reason was that it was too hard to find teachers.

  a couple of weeks later a letter was read in the congregations to that affect, and saying that it is a parents responsibility to spiritually raise a child.

  Lebanon and Israel

  wow you guys really made me think with the response to my faith topic, i was just arguing with a friend today over israel and invading lebabon and he quoted all the bible scriptures to me trying to show me that, israel were the chosen people of god and how god allowed them to go in and slaughter the canninties (first recorded insident of genocide) including killing small children, and i asked is that what christ jesus died for so god could order the slaughter of babies for the jews?

  so you are saying that not only is god a racist, but not a god of love as well?

  if god created all of us from the dust why would he love one race more than another?

  Both Hamas and Hezbola are terrorist organisations and want the complete destruction of Israel.

  The present situation with Hezbola started because over many months hezbola terrorists crossed the border many times and attacked civilians they also have been firing rockets targeting civilians. The conflict did not start just from the capture of two soldiers.

  Israel is accused of targeting civilians and I dont see some peoples logic on this. They are targeting Hezbola and these terrorists dont represent a country dont wear uniforms. They dont represent Lebanon in fact the Lebonese embassadore in Australia said at a rally keep talking about Hezbola violence. No war with a terrorist group can be clean when the terrorists melt away into the civilian population.

  Israel when targeting civilian areas drop leaflets warning the population of an immanent attack. In fact a muslim Lebonese friend of mine was saved from Israelie bombs when the Israelie army went house to house to warn people of an immanent attack. Terrorists dont warn of immanent attacks their object is to murder as many innocent people as they can. Hezbola didnt drop leaflets on Israelie cities yet.

  I dont beleive Israel has any right based on the bible. Anyone who takes that stand are nuts.

  When I first went to a Kingdom Hall I quite innocently asked for a Hymn Book but I dont Know if That would be offencive to them . It didnt seem to be .

  hey i was on holiday last week and we went to a sea-side night market and there was a food stand called "roadkill restaurant".

  the motto was "you kill it, we grill it".

  charming place.. they had crocodile, buffalo, camel, and kangaroo and emu kebabs.

  dont get me wrong im not a yanky basher like some we know but when visiting my dad the other day got me thinking when he played a dvd he had.. the dvd was of a concert of religious music by the assembly of god and the sdas most of the program was very good with excellent prerformers and uplifting music.

  i thought the sdas in the states looked like they were being influenced by the more charasmatic a of g people because many were raising there hands like the aof g do.. there was nothing too unusual until about two thirds through when some marines marched in with the yanky flag with a marine either side complete with rifle .

  the remainder of the concert was dedicated to nationalistic hyms of which i cant recall the titles.

  the old testament yhwh was a simple solo god almighty.

  in the new testament the nature of god becomes quite confusing based on some expressions of jesus and the nt writers.

  from a higher critic point of view, why did the nt writers introduce such confusion?.

  Gday JW , I beleive tha that christian doctrine is developed and thats what Vincent of Lerins beleived in the fifth century. john Henry Newman is the modern champion

  of the developement of doctrine and he wrote an essay on testing a doctrine if it is a true developement of doctrine.

  The beleif the Jews had st the time of christ is that they were promiced a land, not eternal life or a trip to heaven and so the beleif of going to heaven is also a developement of doctrine.

  Gday parakeet, Actually i dont say anything when Im Yanky bashing mainly because Im a Yanky supporter as Ive said before. I think its because we are from slightly different cultures and some things you do are a bit odd. As you may know our head of state isnt even an Australian she is English. When we go to court its The Crown v John Doe not the people v John Doe. Also we all speak the Queens english here.Also our head of state isnt a politician

  Gday looking glass, I note that youre aussie friends noticed the American flag and some here in Australia now fly the aussie flag more now. When I first visited California the flags stood out too. While I said America is a big cult it may be it just seems that way to me Im just not used to soldiers comming into church meetings. Also some SDAs take the same position as the JWs and dont partake in war or join the military and I would say being in this meeting would be offencive too them.
