by stuckinarut2 inwe all know that the society claims that jesus invisibly chose the bible students (forerunners of jw) in 1919 to be his organization here on earth.. yet, as we know, so much of what they then taught and did was wrong according to current teaching and practice.. the reply witnesses will give is something like "they were the most sincere seekers of truth blah blah...and jesus could see their potential".
so, pretend for a moment that the current organization and the 1919 organization were both in concurrent existence at the time he invisibly came to choose.... which would he choose?

the hindustan times has a table detailing the dead in this rebellion.. finally, i saw nothing about the latest attack (april) in the aussie media.

Islamic terrorism is very different than terrorism we have experienced in the past. Islamic terrorists have been asked the question and have said.' We only terrorise you for not converting to Islam and accepting Sharia as the law of the land. '
Since 9/11 there is reportedly approximately 30000 islamic attacks around the world and the attacks are universal showing the grievances must be other than for land or rights.
The hate of Islam comes from there books the Quoran and Bukori which is filled with edicts against jews and Christians and if you don't believe me thats a good place to start fulltimestudent

The white isn't very different and the reason the white race is white is only because of vitamin D deficiency. The humbolt current made Europe lack sunlight and poor Europeans didn't eat much meat. This resulted in a vitamin D deficiency with the only option to evolve with less melanin thus whiter skin and less melanin in the eyes. An increase of eye melanin gives green eyes to hazel eyes etc.
Athletically the black peoples have advantages in many sports while Asians are the least Athletic the whites are in the middle. Thats just my opinion could be wrong.
IQ tests find white Asians the smartest whites are second while blacks rate the worst. These are averages and many whites and blacks can be smarter than Asians.

The Imam of the largest Mosque in Saudi Arabia has said ISIS has the same beliefs as he does and the Egyptian Islamic schools have said ISIS has committed some atrocities but they are not Apostates.
Just look at the horrific punishments carried out in Saudi Arabia and compare that with what ISIS does you would find not much difference.

by barry ini just went to a pre screening of this movie about an adventist guy who didn't want to kill but joined the army as a medic on the front line.
desmond doss saved 75 men in one operation singlehanded on the island of okinawa where desmond worked lowering men down a 400ft cliff to safety.. i thought this may be of interest to jws because of the pacifist stand they also have.. the movie comes out on the 4 th november..

It should come with the responsibility to be engaged in politics to ensure that foreign policy and trade policy is built on the principle of avoiding conflict at any and all cost.
I have to agree with you 100% on this one Simon Hacksaw Ridge is an anti war movie. Since we are talking about the role of churches. Churches should be at the forefront in avoiding the sin of war.

Amor, The Seventh day adventists have had various opinions on weather to partake in war.
In the great war 1914 to 18 many adventists took a non combatant stand against war but also 4000 adventists were disfellowshipped in Europe for not taking up arms which led to the formation of the SDA reform movement a church which still exists today.
In 1972 the official position concerning military service states .
'The church provides pastoral support to those who conscientiously believe they must defend and protect others as well as those who believe force should never be used and thus cannot serve in the armed forces. These issues are deeply personal and merit much thought.
The SDAs have also been well represented as chaplains in the military in the USA head of chaplains corps Rear Admiral Barry Black served for many years. In 1992 44 SDA chaplains were serving and most chaplains don't carry guns.
In 1991 8000 Adventists were serving in the US forces and 2000 participated in the gulf war.
Much to the regret of anti war Adventists soldiers have come back to welcoming applause in adventist worship services and patriotic accolades in the church publications.
I'm not sure Desmonds exact thoughts we are all influenced by others by churches and by our own experiences in life. The movie about Desmonds heroism gives some indications of his thoughts about non violence but I will not spoil the movie for you all just go to see it but be warned it's not a movie for the whole family.
