Best National Anthem
by Mulan inokay, let's do a poll.. since it looks like many of us are watching the olympics, let's vote on which country has the best national anthem.. i love canada's.
i find myself hoping a canadian will win, so i can sing along to their song.. when the russians win, i get a cold disquieting feeling, since they adopted the old soviet anthem again.
too many memories of the old ussr.. marilyn (aka mulan).

Im sitting here laughting Waltzing Matilda the national anthem of Australia, well they did talk about it a while back. Actually Australia has two National anthems the one you here the most is [Gopher ] Advance Australia Fair, the other national anthem is god Save the Queen, the same as the UK but is only used when the Queen is here. They added the new national anthem in the 70s

Saint Satan,
The reason I mention Irenaeus is because he knew Polycarp Bishop of smyna who in turn knew the Apostale John.
Also there is evidence from the creeds that were originaly baptismal formila, from the middle of the second century we have the very first baptisimal formila as follows , I believe in the father , lord of all ,
and in Jesus Christ [ our Saviour],
and in the Holy Spirit [ the paraclete],
and in the holy church,
and in the forgiveness of sins.
I would ask you , What does this look like , it looks to me like the start of the developement of the Nicien Creed. In fact during these early centuries there was hundreds of creeds all having this same patern Father, son , holy spirit and two of the articals we find in the nicein creed at the end.
In fact the Nicene Creed was taken from a baptisimal formila, The creed of Caesarea. the extra wording in the Nicene Creed was because of the Arian contraversity that was raging at the time.

I like what you said Willy Think, and yes the early christians had a dispute with Gnostics who had there own scriptures they clamed from this or that apostale. Irenaeus was the champion against the Gnostics but because the Gnostics had there scriptures the appeal to scripture was useless in his arguements. Irenaeus therefore appealed to tradition he claimed that the churches throughout the christian world had the same beleifs used for the most part the same scriptures whereas the Gnostics beleived differently everywhere.
The Arian doctrine of the JWs was developed by the heretic Arias in the fourth century , the first to give us a complete list of all the books of the bible as we have now was St Athaniathas in 369 ad and is well known for his stand on the trinity and the creed that bears his name is used in the catholic orthodox and anglican churches. do all go to heaven?
by master chief ini dont know if you have heard of this one but in revelation it talks about the great crowd standing before the throne rendering sacred service day and night,so what i did is looked in other translations about this and it says great crowd r before the throne in heaven literally and not in a symbolic sense as jws view it.in the greek interlinear i think it uses the word (naos or hieron)and renders it as being literal but surely wouldnt that be upto the translators discernment.does anyone have anymore info on this ta!

Dear Masterchief,
1Thessalonians 4.15 to 18. What we are teaching you now is the Lord's teaching, we who are alive on the day the Lord comes will not go ahead of those who have died. There will be the shout of command, the archangel's voice. the sound of God's trumpet, and the Lord himself will come down from heaven. Those who have died beleiving in Christwill rise to lifefirst; then we who are living at that timewill be gathered up along with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. So then encourage one another with these words.

The Truth? Brinsmeads Words Of Wisdom For All !!
by Aussiemanhunter inchapter 6 - romans 14:5 .
the new testament must interpret the old testament.
for example, paul said, "if you let yourselves be circumcised, christ will be of no value to you at all" (gal 5:2).

Dear Poor Ana,
All I can say I warned you about this, the 'man in black suits', the insistance that you wear youre hair long, those secret midnight meetings, the insistance on sitting on the right inside buildings preferably with other Brinsmeads and all the other strange goings on. And the strange laser computer mind altering light the list goes on and on. And now this, I can smell a Brinsmead even if my nose is thousands of miles away Ive been trained for it from childhood and I am allways right. Any persons suspecting Brinsmead infiltration can call on my services for a small fee. Call the Brinsmead Busters Inc.

The BIG YELL at the KH
by ZazuWitts ini was about age 12, already bored with the routine of sunday talks, and the 'tower' study.
i had had about two years worth of enduring the repetitive meetings, as a consequence of my parents' conversion.. one sunday turned out to take a decidedly exciting direction.
we were at the kh early in order for my ms stepdad to tend to his duties before the 3:00 public talk.

Dear ZazuWitts,
I studied with the witnesses for 6 mths, however when I was first invited to the KH on memorial night I asked my minister to come with me. At first he wasnt sure but then he agreed to come. The meeting explained how only the 144000 could receive the elements etc. After the meeting the guy who invited asked me why I had brought Ross along but the elders got on with Ross very well seems they new each other and we stayed back talking while almost everyone had left.

be patient: lets hope the world does not end soon
by malian inlike many others, i have not been able to change the views of my dear love, who has been brain-washed by the wts...(sigh).... however, i am waiting for the prophecy of 1914 to fail; the world will live on, and our loved ones will at least have a seed of doubt planted in their mind.
to all: be patient!
i think that it will be a real eye-opener for many.

Dear Focus,
I would like to apologise for my error here, I should have checked. My error comes from my Adventist background which identifies the second comming and Armageddon as the same event. But thats still no excuse. Malian the link Focus ave is good reading its not necessary to waste any more time on the 1914 disaster.
