that is the purpose of this thread.
i cannot count the times that, when dubs arguments are demolished with quotes from their own literature and practices, they resort to this statement in sheer desperation: well, at least weve got the basics right.

I got a copy of the Record magazine while at church today. The Record is a magazine all Adventists get weekly to promote the company line. Looking through it while there I came across an artical people might like to know about on JW com the artical entitled 'The Holy Spirit and the GodheadBy Angel Manuel Rodriguez who is director of the Biblical Research Institute of the general Conference. The first two sentences, 'Some in our church are teaching that the Holy Spirit is neither a person nor a member of the Godhead. Is that true?
Some Adventists have discovered that practically all of our pioneers were anti -Trinitarian and have concluded that the church today should reject the doctrine of the Trinity. The artical then goes on to show the biblical beleif of the Holy spirit as the third person of the Trinity.
Well this may start up a hornets nest between the Trinitarians and Arians also theres a letters section in the magazine where letters from people of different persuasion will write in about this one. Anyway Ill keep you all informed on future developements -

there have been an abundance of threads that have deteriorated into these doctrine, and it clouds this issue because tempers get raised.. so, please, can we keep it simple.
should jesus receive our worship, right here, right now?.

Richard Butler an Australian was head of the inspections in Iraq and is convinced they are building up these WMDs. Australia will be behind the US in any war we have troops in Timor , Solomin Islands, Afganistan and the Navy is patroling in the north for illegals I dunno if we can spare many more for a war. Barry

The church fathers all beleived in a type of trinity, eg Origen beleived in a three tired trinity it didnt become clear until it was thrashed at the ecumical councils. Arius a priest from Egypt lived at the beginning of the fourth centry didnt beleive in the trinity he beleived the same as the present day witnesses and the witnesses and others who dont beleive the trinity are called Arians because the teaching originated with Arius.

by BONEZZ ini thought i'd hit it several times before...as i have been thru the divorce over the past couple of years...lost all my so-called friends...lost my belief in what i thought was the "truth"....and now my own loving daughter, being the good little dub she is has told me she doesn't want me to walk her down the aisle at her wedding.

Dear Bonnezz, You should be able to go to the elders and talk to them and have the problem fixed and they should talk to youre daughter regardless of youre standing with the JWs. Dont feel bad there the ones with the problems not you .

for example: "we must keep in step with present truth.
" now to me something is either true, partially true, or untrue.

Refiner now I know what Adventists you were hanging out with Leroy is an Arian [beleive the same as the witnesses that Jesus is a created being] most Adventists are trinitarian.
