We have thousands of them where I live most are wild and are very destructiveof anything man made. They destroy the streetlights. as pets they have a filthy mouth usually from copying there owners.

Im confused about the Trinity, and who believes it Help please
by WingCommander injust to recap, ive had a nice baptist pastor stopping by my house about once a month for the past 8 months.a very kind soul, we always have the most interesting discussions.him learning about how i was raised as a jw and their belief system, and i learning about his being born again, the trinity, heaven, views on armageddon, etc.
it has all been very interesting, me being raised a jw and now hearing what another denomination believes, especially about the 144,000 and why they feel it isn't a literal number.
also, i am on his regular "field ministry,", and this is shocking to me as i was always taught the other religions don't go door to door like us, with the exception of mormons - lds.. anyway, he made the comment to me that very view christian denominations did not believe in the trinity.he stated that really only small handful of denominations such as jws, mormons, and a few other cultic types dont accept the trinity.this was shocking to me, because asjw i always believed most everyone outside of catholicism and lutheranism believed as jw did, that jesus was gods son, and a totally separate created being.

Many of the millerites didnt beleive the trinity doctrine because many had come from the christian connection a non trinitiarian group. As a result the SDA still have many in there church who dont beleive the trinity. Of course the official position in the SDAs is the doctrine of the trinity.
The JWs also had connection with the millerites and the second adventists which influenced there position against the doctrine.
In practice christians worship Jesus and the holy spirit and Jehovah without thinking of the workings of the trinity doctrine .

Why do "christians" have such a hard time explaining the bodily reserrect?
by booker-t ini have yet to find a christian that can truly explain the bodily reserrection of christ doctrine.
they become so confused after a few minutes that many of them will try to change the subject on you.
i was talking to a born-again co-worker of mine about this very subject and after 15 minutes of going over scriptures he said "you know booker-t i have never really swallowed the bodily reserrection doctrine but this is what my church teaches.

Bookert, When christ was resserected from the dead he had a spiritual body. At the tomb Jesus body was not there. Thomas said i wont beleive unless I see the wounds in his hands and his feet. Jesus said he was not a spirit and he had bones and flesh and he ate some boiled fish to prove it.

Steve you are right the Iranians have never said that they will use nukes against Israel. That still doesnt let me rest any easier because they have threatened the west and Israel with complete destruction and they are attempting to build nukes. Add to that a fanatical religious government. The threat is implicide Im sure we all agree.
As iron rod has said we should all be able to rest easily in our beds tonight thanks steve.
The truth is steve we can sustain conventional warfair but atomic warfare is a luxury the world cant afford.

HS I guess we wont know what the Iranians will used until it happens but anyone backed into a corner are likely to use nukes if they have them. If th ehutus had them Im sure they would use them.

Gday Uzzah, As I pointed out Bin Laden says hostilities will only cease at the day of judgement so under the geneva convention the prisoners in Cuba should be kept off the battlefield until the day of judgement.

Steve may I remind you that terrorists dont come under the geneva convention anyway. The geneva convention is for th etreatement of prisoners of war of countries at war.The soldiers taken as prisoners are treated humainly and returned to their contry when hostilities cease. Terrorists do not fight for a country and so there is no time when hostilities cease. Bin laden is reported to have said hostilities will cease at the time of the day of judgement.
The US does have a big interest in the middle east and so it should. The middle east is where most of its oil is scourced. If you think oil isnt important consider this. While the US consumes one third of the worlds oil the US also produces one third of the worlds food. Without this food production many of the contries of the middle east would starve
Steve the Iranian government has said consistently they will wipe out Israel with Atomic weopons. Where do you read youre news stories? Direct from Tehran.

I dont have a problem with the US prison in Cuba. Terrorism is the worst crime imaginable and I dont have a problem with tortureing terrorists either if it gets the correct results and saves lives.

I agree with you iron rod this Iranian is basicly a savage but Im not even sure if that is teh right word to use. When captain cook went on his journey of discovery he reffered to th enoble savage he had respect for the people he discovered even though they were primitave.
To compare him to president Bush and to claim Americans are fed properganda just as Iranians are is a lie. Steve why dont you take a trip to Iran and stay there. I dont think you will.

You have changed my opinions in some ways even though we may not agree on every detail. "Youre summary of an islamic state has in it some excellent ideals. The part about not taxing companies remindes me of Liectenstine where they invited profitable companies in, the companies didnt pay taxes and as a result the people there benefited by haveing the highest income in europe.
Just about suicide bombers I saw a documentry about this and during the Iran Irak war a young Iranian soldier bravely placed a bomb with a short fuse under a tank of the superiour attacking Irakie army. Because he was blown to bits some people saw it as a suicide mission but many saw it as doing a necessary job and the thought of suicide was never entertained.
I hope to visit youre ideal state and if I dont maybe my kids will.
