My husband's new blood papers are in the trash???

i don't know what the new terminology is for the forms, but that paperwork, already signed by him (i refuse all blood, etc.

), is in the trash.

i found it while looking for some schoolwork of my daughter's.

I think he will never, ever leave. Sometimes I think it would be best for him not to, as he would probaby go around afterward thinking he is without Jehovah's spirit, he is dead, he is not a good person, Satan's got him,etc. (Initially I wrote "Santa's got him", hee hee)

I still want him happy spiritually and mentally and physically, all that. If he has to stay in to be happy, then so be it. But, yes, I wish he was not attending. To me the whole thing just feels bad, and I have attended with him, mostly on Sundays only. I went every other Sunday for well over a year, attended 1 huge convention and 1 District assembly.

And to answer earlier questions, this is the brand spankin' new paperwork, and he has not thrown out his old blood card as far as I know. Maybe it means nothing. However, I thought all the faithful would have to turn this back in, or at least be made to feel like they have to? Or is it a conscience matter? (whatever that means for a JW, who is made to feel guilty no matter what, it seems)

JW definition of disassociating yourself?

can someone help me to understand what it would mean to a loyal witnes to diassociate yourself, and to the org?

having seen what happened during my husband's df, and his subsequentreinstatement, what would it mean to da yourself?

would you be treated the same as being df?

Can someone help me to understand what it would mean to a loyal witnes to diassociate yourself, and to the org? Having seen what happened during my husband's DF, and his subsequentreinstatement, what would it mean to DA yourself? Would you be treated the same as being DF? Would anyone (JW) talk to you? Would you be shunned just the same? Just need some clarification. All this terminology gets me confused at times.

It's the brand new paperwork in the trash, already signed by him, checking off no blood, no way, no how. He still has his old blood card in his wallet, I think.

Here's another thing: I did see that he has written a letter of disassociation and has it in a sealed envelope. It has been there for 2 weeks.

I don't mention anything, ever, and he never discusses things of this nature with me (except the virtues of scripture, teaching children, etc.) He does regularly talk with his grown daughter and mentions the FDS, following the organization, going against Jehovah, etc. How can he talk this way, and then these two things must be present in his mind too (the blood papers and the letter?). Maybe he's trying to stay for the sake of his grown children. That's probably it. What is going on iside for him must be one horrific thing.

I found it while looking for some schoolwork of my daughter's. What does, or could this mean, do you think? If he still has his old blood card in his wallet, does that suffice? I hate to get my hopes up in that he is fading, he still attends faithfully, still reads pubs, etc. I have never been JW, just to jog everyone's memory.

What do you think it means if a faithful dub (over 20 years, but 2 yrs.DF'd) puts this paperwork in the trash?

I didn't mention that I saw it, I wouldn't dare.

hi all- i haven't posted in quite a while but visit here a lot.

i am a non-witness married to a reinstated jw.

In answer to an earlier question, no my husband does not Pioneer (tm). He struggles with attending, although he attends almost every meeting. I never criticize my husband or his daughters for being witnesses, I love him and them without religious pretenses and unconditionally. I do try to offer a differing viewpoint hoping it may open them up to looking at things differently. Yes he does, I feel, pressure her to stay full time.

I am quite the oppostie in my beliefs from theirs, so I am sure it is probably difficult at best for her to listen to what I might have to say about anything (I encourage her jobs prospects, most certainly the clerical vs. the janitorial or child care, I am a wordly wife after all). I do not want to make things difficult or be seen as discouraging her, so I try to ask if there are alternatives, so she can answer herself, as to what those may be. I am careful not to be critical, but do so feel for these kids (and adults) that they are expected to serve-serve-serve jehovah, but then are seen as materialistic for having a car and wanting to ave SOME sort of income.

This Jehovah exacts a heavy toll from subjects, or rather the WTBTS. Glad the God I believe in really doesn't have a name, or answers by lots of different names. Eeeesh.

Hi all- I haven't posted in quite a while but visit here a lot. I am a non-witness married to a reinstated JW. We were married when he was DF, long story. Ahy how, my concern is for my step-daughter who is really struggling with trying to support herself financially (car, insurance, all that goes alnog with being a young adult). She FT Pioneers and I asked my husband if she couldn't go to Auxilliary? He looked as though I had hurt him.. I had a talk (forgive me for using that term) with her about could she not Aux. Pioneer to help with her employment situation, to ease the restricted hours that she would be able to work? She said she had thought about it, but no more. She said she didn't like the thought of it being announced that she is no longer a FT Pioneer, but that was all.

Is it a crime to Aux. Pioneer? If you are still doing God's work (can't do the trademark thing) in Field Service at all, then why he stigma? Why the fear? She'd still be going D to D. I just don't get it. I must not be enlightened.

Anyone else in their former WT lives go from FT to Aux.? Why are people so afraid, they are still making a commitment even at the Auxilliary level, aren't they? I feel for her and hurt for her.

Chilling experience

o.k....most people that know me know me to be a rational and logical person not prone to hype or the sensational.

nor am i infatuated with the supernatural as many jw's/ex-jw's are/were.

with that said, let me relate what happened to me at work last night.. on saturday night, we had four bad burns come in.

TallTex - That was indeed a chilling story. I guess I'd be freaked too, but in reading your story I hope you feel something special as this little girl wanted you to know she wasn't hurting any more. I am skeptical about things such as this, but your story makes me doubt my skepticism....... I have to say I admire you for doing your job, something not everyone could handle. I have a 4 year old little girl, this story makes me have many emotions. Thank you for doing a fine job and assisting people when they are hurt, in pain. I would be a basketcase if I saw a badly burned little girl. I'd have her image imprinted on me for life, and you face this stuff every day. I am thankful for persons like you!

atheist + religious couples

hey guys,.

how many are in relationships where one of you is either atheist or agnostic or whatever and the signficant other is strong in their faith in god?.

my girlfriend is catholic and a good one too.

My husband is JW, I'm not and never have been. Mutual respect is how we make it, although I think he does try to push some things on me from time to time.

I have to admit that I was hoping my husband's 'joy" in being a JW would be so wonderful and so apparent when I first started attending with him that I would see it as wonderful also. No way, no how. I did pick up some things here and there in the talks (never anything much from the WT), but the rest I just cannot stand.

I'm still sorting out how I feel about organized religion too. Most times I just feel a certain something when I see I a beautiful sky, or a plant or a child.........then the feeling is gone. I never feel wholly blessed, religious, pious or anything while in church, or a KH. I only feel something when I'm outside experiencing nature.
