  Do NOT go to college, system is coming to an end, EVEN in 1969!!!!!

  if you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that.

  you will never grow old in this present system of things... .all evidence in fulfillment of bible prophecy indicates that this corrupt system is due to end in a few years... as a young person you will never fulfill any career that this system offers.

  if you are in high school and thinking about a college education, it means at least four, perhaps even six or eight more years to graduate into a specialized career.

  I have not posted here for many years, but just found this most interesting quote in my documents tonight and wanted to share with any that do not know of its existance. Here is why a generation of 55-60 year old janitors and uneducated people exist within JWs. Education was discouraged, the end was ANY DAY now, even in the year I was born!

  My daughter just ran out of contact solution HELP

  it is too late to run to the store for contact solution!

  any suggestions on how to save the contacts?

  Yah, the little stink had 2 bottles in the closet, I saw them everyday. HOWEVER, she failed to tell me that they were EMPTY.

  Needless to say,we had a little discussion about her responsiblity. I threatened her with, "Maybe you are too young to take care of contacts if you can't even tell me when your solution runs out, perhaps back to glasses is the way to go"

  I googled it too, and we decided to put them in cold clean water. Open a new pair tomorrow morning. Buy solution. Then keep the older pair in the solution for a few weeks. I will go talk to her optomitrist tomorrow. Just don't want to waste $20!

  The above definition of the word "stumble" is not the dictionary definition. It is the JW definition, but I assume you know that.

  My 17 year old daughter has so many problems

  well, my 17 year old has left home in a horribly negative way.

  she has had many problems for many years.

  she ran away a year ago, we dragged her home, took her to the hospital for bulimia and suicidal tendencies.

  I can't believe it. She wants money. But every email that she sends me tells me to f off. I just asked her how I will know that the money will go towards rent and not drugs and she said," ......because I already have money for that you asshole, it is for f&*$ing RENT."

  I can't believe she is so ignorant and WHY? I don't think I have any other choice, but tell her that her priorities are hers to set and she DOES have money for rent, she chooses not to use for that purpose.

  I don't think I will ever get my daughter back again. I don't want to cry anymore because they are wasted tears. She doesn't care and somehow, doesn't love me anymore.

  My girl, that use to talk to me for hours, cuddle me in bed, go everywhere with, tell me she loves me all the time. How do you get over something like her?

  Gill, to some extent I agree with you, however, I believe that before action can take place, people need to go through a period of awareness, an awakening, a perception change, whatever you want to call it. A change in attitudes, thoughts, and understanding must take place before it can translate into action. That IS happening.

  The march in London may be representative of an experimentation in action, if nothing else, which I doubt. Marches are old school, we live in a different era that may require different forms of protest than 'marches'. It may not be enough, it may need to be different.

  Give it time, I have faith in humanity and that we will figure it out. What are each of us willing to do? I for one, am educating myself first.

  I went to Europe this past spring break with an older lady, that I had to room with everywhere. Thing is, when she was bustling around, she HUMMED. Like this gutteral mmm...mm..mm..mm...mmmm..mm..mm DROVE ME NUTS.

  Within 2 nights of it, I told her straight up. "Your humming is driving me crazy."

  She apologized and said that she would try to control it. She did, sometimes she had to catch herself, but she really did control it.

  I think direct is best.
