My oldest teen is a very fussy dresser, she finds alot of her stuff on ebay. Never had a bad experience with buying clothes that way.

Stealing Paradise

My mother WANTS to believe, therefore, she believes. It would not matter what I said to her, nothing will ever change her mind and make her 'leave' Jehovah. Her conception is that if she left the organization, she is leaving her God and betraying him. She won't do it. So, my relationship with her is over. She has shunned me for years, fanatically. My mother will forever reap what she has sown. Hatred, anger, intolerance and indifference.
BUT, my relationship with my mother was always rough. So if you have a good one with yours, why risk ruining it? You want her to accept you for who you are, why not do the same, accept her for who she is and stop trying to change her. You can't assume that she is not enjoying what she is doing. My mother LOVES living "the truth" and views everything in the world as lesser. You could shatter her entire existence, so if it is to happen-maybe let it just happen on it's own. Just my opinion.

Wrong. Their basic premise is that they will live forever and the majority of mankind will be killed off. They REFUSE to see any good at all in "the world". They think they and only they have the truth.

They just DO NOT think!!!
by Jez induring talks, the audience just don't think.
the speaker can shoot off some stat, a comment, but "where is the evidence for what you just said?".
the speaker can give a really great story about how a drug addict became a jw, how it saved his life, but do they think: "yes, that is one neg example in the world, but what about the positive examples?

Good analogy, except that eventually one becomes disenchanted and gets to really KNOW the person they love. I can't figure out anymore why the ppl I love the most in the world, or these otherwise intelligent ppl just don't get fed up. I can't believe the level of elementary crap they are fed and fed and fed.....the inconsistencies are so blatent!! Jez

YESTERDAY'S WT STUDY
by Mary inoh lordy, at yesterday's botchtower study, paragraph 17 (i think) asked what we personally found "encouraging" about the 2004 stats that are listed by country in the wt.
anyway, someone finally put up their hand and remarked about how wonderful it was to see that ethiopia had a 5% increase......ya, i guess if you're starving to death, who wouldn't want to hear that paradise is right around the corner.
one bro put up his hand and actually mentioned the fact that there was 0% increase in virtually all the industrialized nations, but that we "shouldn't let that discourage us".
