Who Likes Roller Coaster?

i love roller coasters, but i am so not sure if i would ride this new one at six flags.

i went to their website and they have a virtual ride you can take!

OMG! I fricken LOVE coasters. I havent been to a park in the last few years, but the scarier, the better. And that new Kingda Ka looks pretty awesome! I bet it would be so fun to be in the front of that one. Unfortunately, my hubby (sic) doesnt feel the same way. In fact he hates riding rides. So I am trying to mold my 18-month old into thrill seeking as soon as possible so she can be my riding partner. Coz its just not as fun going on a coaster by yourself. But you cant ever get me on a ferris wheel, those things make me more afraid than any coaster.

My alltime scariest ride? Space mountain, I didnt have any idea what I was in store for, and the sheer darkness of it all scared the bejebus out of me. But I went a second time :)

yeah thats what hit me when you brought up the idea of non-spam by sending an email. Its exactly what those types of boards do...If someone wants to get your contact info they send you an email requesting permission, or notification.

It could be subsidized in cost by a "Classmates" sort of board, as well too, for a price people could find out contact info from the site and sent confidentially in a recipient email....that way if someone wanted to contact someone, its pretty secure, and the site makes money.

Just another thought...I know I would pay money to find some of the people I miss that are gone as well.

alright, i admit, i was a child of the 80s (or what i can remember) but the real reason for this thread is i have noticed that there is quite a few of people on this site that are close to me in age or just a little bit younger or older.

i will be 28 in june.

i think that this period in my life is a deep questioning period, because at younger ages i didnt give a flip about anything jw or ex-jw for that matter.

Its strange, rollerskating on sunday nights was big in my congo too...plus the was the added bonus of maybe seeing some cute "worldly"guys . I grew up in the superstrict way of music too, though, so I never brought any questionable music home :). My first attempt at that was Tone Loc! LOL!!!! I was around 12, 13 at the time, and mom found the tape ( I had bought it at a garage sale).......the rest is history....."You are not to bring THAT FILTH in my house".....and the tape was no longer.

Ah yes, such good ~~repressed~~ memories. LOL

I need to vent

i called my sister yesterday.

she is not a jw although she has studied off and on throughout the years and attends the meeting from time to time.

she knows i don't go to the kh anymore.

It seems when you want to get out so much truth in just a few statements, the urge overwhelms to just spit it out. Whats interesting is that when a dub is faced with some question of their beliefs, only "FAITH" comes into question....you can call it out to her " Faith without works is dead" But it probably wouldnt mean a hill of beans to her.

Im sorry you have to go through this. I have been there, done that and noone wins

I think colecovision was very similar to Intellivision here. At the time those games RAWKED! I was sooo jealous of my friends that had one. I was not cool enough to have one of these, and actually my first game system was Nintendo. My mother thought video games were too violent (go figure), and didnt even buy that one. I saved up the money and bought it myself. Still with that I wasnt allowed to get Duck Hunt or even use the gun if I was over at a friends house. I mostly played Tetris.

lol at NOS! I too had a pogo ball :) Its what they call it (I watched too much TV) But its funny I really cant remember a lot from my childhood, I think I blocked most of it. I have snippets that come back every once in a while, but most times I come up a blank.
