It's also reported that Fred:
- Was a strange visitor from another planet, who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men.
- Was faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.
- Fights a never ending battle for Truth, Justice and the American way.
Now someone just needs to create FredFranzFacts.com to pay homage to FF's incredible round house kicks.

Quotes update: Free to publicly comment on the action
by Quotes infor the newbies, this post is a follow up on my situation regarding the watch tower's law suit against my due to my watch tower quotes web site.
for the background on the story so far, see these threads:
quotes website receives "cease & desist"

One remaining question: What do you think: So far, it appears that the "DNS" (Domain Name Server) entry for watchtower.ca has not been updated, so if you try the quotes web site URL, you still get my old server (with no files on it). This is not my fault. I no longer have any control over Watchtower.ca. Watch Tower Canada now owns watchtower.ca, and as the owners it is up to them to decide which web server you see when you type the URL into your web browser.
You should post a link to this thread on your server. That'll teach them not to change the DNS.

Check this out! my first act of "rebellion"...
by freedomlover inwell, not really rebellion but that i've wanted one of these for a long time so i went and did it today, and i love it!
my little sister came out for a visit this weekend and i told her everything about leaving the jw's.
she has pretty much left about 6 months ago when she went away to college.

Very nice. My JW sister and I got ours done together. Strangely, her piercing got shallower and shallower over several months until finally it no longer existed. Her piercing was probably demonized.

Grammar anyone?
by Fatfreek ini posted something earlier today and wasn't real comfortable with my sentence construction.
so here are two sentences for you.
is either not correct?
-
Margie
Actually, either the singular or plural verb form could be correct depending on the meaning you intend. If you intend to express uncertainty, as in "If I was there [, which I don't remember, but I might have been,] we could [have] work[ed] together [, but I just don't remember]" then you use the singular, was. If you intend to express a condition that doesn't actually exist, as in "If I were there [, but I'm not, I'm here,] we could work together," then you use the plural, were. The "we could work together" in your sentence makes the sentence work only as expressing a condition that doesn't exist, so in this case, the correct sentence is "If I were there we could work together."

Yum! My mom used to make us crepes for breakfast sometimes. She'd top them with warm maple syrup with melted butter mixed in and a little bit of powdered sugar. I also love crepes filled with creme de marron (sp?), a sweetened chestnut filling. Mmm.
