  i already said farewell in my apology post to julie.

  but many of you may not have read it since it was specific to her.. i was planning a long farewell statement because i have a number of things i want to share, but decided i would do that in private if anyone wishes.

  everyone wants to find meaning and purpose in their life.

  people who have been taught to believe in the bible seek stuff in the bible to give them meaning in their life.

  some people make up stuff supposedly based on the bible to give them meaning in their life.. the watchtower society goes one step further: they make up stuff supposedly based on the bible to give their corporation meaning and importance in life.. far too many true believers have a difficult time accepting what should be obvious to any rational human: the bible meant exactly what it said.

  i cannot remember the exact date of when the "society" once again attempted to fulfill revelation 22:18, 19 (and succeeded) with this teaching (i truthfully do not think of them very often anymore), but i am compelled by the spirit of my father, the holy one of israel, jah of armies, holy spirit, that is in me by means of my lord, his son, jaheshua mischajah, to point out yet another 'error'.. some time ago, the "society" taught a 'change' in the meaning of the words at luke 2:14. to wit, they said (and, thus, so does the nwt), that the true wording is:.

  What is Truth?

  since leaving the tower some seven years ago i took a leap building my wings of faith on the way down.

  i have enjoyed some of your posts on faith, truth, and lifes purpose yada yada yada.

  i have concluded that the truth about my existence lies somewhere in between being a hybrid human/alien product to being a son of god with a meaningful purpose.

  sound a like Ferrdie "One Liner" Hall.
  Try some independent thought and drop
  the "parrot" mentality.

  The three traits listed there are sorely
  lacking in the WTBTS.

  They reactively change when their false
  prophesy drops back in their lap, when
  their membership drops etc, etc, etc.....

  These old farts would not know a proactive
  postition as the lawyers and "committee"
  mentality now reign supreme.

  I just posted some similar thoughts. Now that I have "worldly" contacts I am
  just amazed at the number of people who have never even heard of the Dub's
  much less know what they believe in.

  I think persecution is somewhat a matter of perspective of who and where we are.
  As a "divorced" man I am persecuted by the Dub's themselves. If I was to travel
  to Taliban territory and try to teach "Christianity" of any brand I would be very
  persecuted. Read about the two hostages recently, huh? IMHO I think to boils
  down to "being a victim". Act like a victim and someone surely will treat you like
  one.

  You sound like you want to be "jumped on" with your unimformed, trite and "wanna"
  be attitudes so don't be too put out by mine and other reactions. I have been where
  you are. I don't feel I am a better person than you, just at a different juncture in my life
  which you too will experience whether in or out of the boring, insipid, generic BORG.
