i know alot of people don't like beer, but i have been drinking beer since i was 7 yrs old.

i love the stuff!!!.

i was drinking bud light but my bf drinks dark beer (which i hated), but from kissing him for more than a yr now.

Good old Newcastle Brown Ale is one of my favourites.

I also like Old peculiar, Murpheys and of course Guiness.

My sense of humour, spontainety (spelt wrong), cheekiness, creativity, friends, decent clothes, good music, my husband and my life.

So How Bad Is The World REALLY?

in the uk, if you drop a wallet in the road in error, what are the chances of it being handed in to a police station by the finder with all the contents still intact?.

when i read that in the times some weeks ago, i was very skeptical.

then i thought of all the people that i know, friends, aquaintances and pub pals, and i reckon that 90% of them are basically honest with their fellow man.

Well, I must say that my life outside of the organisation is far more richer and fullfilling than it ever was with those on the inside. I find that my expectations of others are far more reasonable now than they ever were.

I am ashamed of the fact that I was blinded by their dogma, that the rest of the world was evil.

Since I have left all of that behind, I find real joy in treating people on a more equal basis and accepting others for what they are and not what they believe in.

Oh yes, I also know people that lie, that fornicate, that are gay. But they do not pretend otherwise.

I could name more hypocrites in the congregation that I left than in my worldly circles.

..after you were baptised, and how did you feel?.

i went for a swim, having got baptised at orchard beach, new york.

i was disappointed that i didn't feel any sort of warm glow.. when my dad was baptised, it was at epsom circuit assembly, london.

Hygiene implications of baptism

how many people got sick after they were baptized.

englishmans post reminded me of my experience.

i was about the 20th person to go through the little pool not much bigger than a bath tub.

Before bapism, there are questions that the elders ask to do with hygene.

Do you have any contagious diseases?

Do you have any open wounds?

Are you incontinent?

I know somebody that in answer to the third question said................I have never been abroad!!!!!!

How did you feel about 'fake' witnesses?

i'm sure you know the ones i mean ... they decided to have a family 'present day' on dec 26th each year so that the kids could announce what presents they got while the rest of us 'zealots' were getting the piss taken out of us.. at the time, i could not understand how or why they did it or got away with it - it seemed obvious to me that thwy were celebrating christmas and we were not supposed to.

but hell, what did i know ... i was only a kid ... not an elder .

now, i kind-a-think "yeah, do what's right for your kids" but also "you're not fooling anyone!

It took me a while to cotton on that there were such people in the hall. Nontheless, I was to have my eyes opened to such displays of blatant hypocrisy. I knew a family who "coincidentally" would buy their children presents on their birthday "because it was the only convenient time they had to shop!"

A certain ministerial servant in our old hall went on holiday and took his video camera. When he played us the tape, there he was being filmed blowing birthday candles out on a cake and other guests singing happy birthday to him. Not only that but the camera had been pre-set to display 'happy birthday' logo! But of course it was everyone elses fault and he apparently had no idea this was going to take place!
