  does your conscience torment you knowing that you are misleading the flock of god as you continue teaching them the heresies of the watchtower society?.

  why are you staying in the organization and posting here at the same time?.

  do you really believe that you can help your families to reject the watchtower society while remaining an elder and visibly appearing to support their lies and false teachings?.

  I for one am grateful that elders and otherwise are here and posting. It gives me strength and hope that there are those "inside" that get it and for whatever reason they cannot walk away at this time. Respect is what I feel for them and I understand the pain they must feel to not be able to make a decision for their family and not suffer huge rammifications.

  Blood issues and Foundation of Doctrine

  i have read many wonderful letters here that specifically point out the foundation of the blood doctrine along with the innoculation issue and how the measurement of the pyramids were how the dates were chosen.

  can anyone link me to some of those posts that will point out scriptures and the flow of the changes.

  It is up to the DA's office if charges are brought against them. If they decide to pursue the case then they will need your testimony BUT again it's not your decision, it's the DA's.

  The worst vice is advice so I have nothing to add in that regard. Good luck with whatever happens and please keep posting cause I am sure enjoying your story!

  I have tried to convert my Itunes to mp3's and it won't let me. Keeps telling me it's protected format and won't go from mp4 to mp3. Any suggestions?

  i used the word retard a while back and was pm'ed by a mother explaining how hurtful the word was.

  i will never use that word again.. below is a little long but incredibly inspiring story about a father and his son.

  Our agencies and doctors NEVER use the term. Delay is the word we hear. I hear it as slang by teenagers and read it on this board as a noun to describe people. I brought it to one members attention that it is a hateful word and shouldn't be used and I only received a hateful retort and defensiveness. People can get that way when they are called on their bad behavior. I digress...it's not my job to change the world but if I can make a difference to just one person then that is progress.

  Those teeth are lethal! HA! I quit nursing about a month ago. She is kickin my ass on the health front but we are working on that! Kiss your babies and hold them tight no matter how old. She deserves so much more but we are playing the cards as they are delt.

  That video is so powerful. I love you for understanding. The "R" word is a word that people feel free to use and dismiss it as if it shouldn't matter. It's no different then any other negative word that people don't use anymore (at least in public) and yet I am made to feel as if I should just accept it and it's "no big deal" or "I am not referring to your daughter".

  It hits me as hard as the "N" or any other racial or bias slur hits others and there are over 500,000 parents and advocates in the US alone that feel the same way.

  She is beautiful and amazing and it is her that people are talking about when they use the word as a hateful slur or a way to describe an elder they don't like. I get that it means to slow or to stop growth. That is a correct usage and you and I had that conversation. Using it as a noun...just not acceptable. It IS talking about my child when it is used. It IS talking about an entire group of people that cannot defend themselves when it is used. She didn't ask for this and God knows she doesn't deserve what she is going thru health wise right now.

  You have been more then kind to me the last few weeks. I want everyone here to know that. You got it. You understood my pain without becoming defensive and without it becoming an argument. I love you more then you know and you have me in tears with your compassion, understanding and love.

  "This Generation"

  i know the witnesses changed their 'generation' definition in 1995 to get away from being tied down to the literal generation of people who saw 1914.. but applying their definition of the word to matthew 24:34 makes the verse meaningless, regardless of whether the original text grammatically allows for their interpretation.

  there is no point in saying "this generation will by no means pass away" if 'generation' merely refers to an attitude of people which may remain the same for any ongoing period of time.. there is simply no point in saying it unless it was intended to refer specifically to a literal generation of people who were alive at the time.

  of course, there is no validity to their 1914 doctrine anyway, but nevertheless, they are inextricably stuck with it..

  When I read this scripture in RCIA, it reads "this AGE will by no means pass away" the word generation is not used. I found that interesting.

  well, let's all pick out our favorite 'best of the worst'.

  teaching found in the publications that just are on the total brink of absurdity.

  my vote is in for this 'striking parallel' between the time peroid of jesus life and the 1914-1918 time peroid.

  Teen bullied to death

  if i had a kid who was being bullied... they better tie me up... there's no telling what i might do to the bullies.

  I have to say this is my worst fear. I have a daughter 13 months old with Down Syndrome. Some of you here have seen her picture and know that beautiful face and smile. I know one day I have to let her venture out into this cold cruel world and hear the "r" word and people will stare and say even more unkind things. It's painful as a parent to know that all you can do for your typical children is to instill compassion and hope they don't copy or display this behavior. It's just that much more painful to have a child with special needs who cannot defend themselves.

  This story is devastating. It breaks my heart that the child was in so much pain and felt no other way out.
