The enigmatic mystery of the Nephilim, the Rephaim, and the Titans
by Leolaia init has been said that historical memory in oral tradition goes back only a few hundred years before it alters considerably in later retellings, and when even greater time depth is involved the mythic past fills in what has been collectively forgotten.
but myths purporting to relate events hundreds or even thousands of years in the past often contain kernals of historical memory amid the layers of tradition and archetypal folk motifs.
an excellent example from my own reading is that of the inuit eskimo in greenland who have a rich oral tradition about the norsemen who died out over 500 years ago and who originally colonized the land a millenium ago.

dear AGuest...
I'm not so sure that watersprout CAN answer for herself...but hey...why would she have to with you around...
...I wasn't asking you anything. watersprout spoke to me, I responded to her. on a discussion forum that is normal...it's not stalking.
BUT the fact that she didn't answer for herself and you came to her rescue, so to speak, is unfortunate...what are the chances of you being there if Jesus asks...who do YOU say I am, watersprout?

"Come, Thou Almighty King"
- Come, Thou Almighty King,
Help us Thy name to sing,
Help us to praise!
Father all-glorious,
O'er all victorious,
Come and reign over us,
Ancient of Days.- Come, Thou Incarnate Word,
Gird on Thy mighty sword,
Our prayer attend;
Come and Thy people bless
And give Thy Word success;
Stablish Thy righteousness,
Savior and Friend!- Come, holy Comforter,
Thy sacred witness bear
In this glad hour.
Thou, who almighty art,
Now rule in every heart
And ne'er from us depart,
Spirit of Power!- To the great One in Three
Eternal praises be
Hence evermore!
His sovereign majesty
May we in glory see
And to eternity
Love and adore!...Amen!by Charles Wesley

dear watersprout...
you said: "I belong to JAH OF ARMIES THE MOST HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL through His Son Jaheshua Mischajah.
When Jaheshua died on the cross, we all died with Him. Our ''flesh/sinful nature was pinned to the cross.I have a personal relationship with Jaheshua... He teaches me.... Not Shelby or anyone else for that matter."
that statement sounds very "spiritual" however we also know that scripture states...
in matthew 3:16-17 we have Jesus being baptised...the Spirit descends upon Him like a dove...the Father speaks from heaven...
you say that your lord is the same lord as AGuest...she swares her lord is the Holy Spirit. siteing the above scripture which one of the three: Father, Son or Holy Spirit...which one DIED to redeem YOU?...which one says He is coming AGAIN [still as] the Son of Man?...love michelle

Any God that let's baby's and children die is not my God
by Star tiger in.
i working in an old peoples home and i can understand that after a long life they die, but not in this horrible way of not knowing their family lost somewhere in their mind.. worse than that is the thought of children dying it angers me extremely that a god of love would allow this on the basis of his own ego!!!.

dear Star tiger...
if you don't take into account the eternal benefit of the death of Jesus Christ on the cross but just look at the "scene"...
imagine what God thought about humans who just stood around and allowed (encouraged in some cases) His innocent only begotten Son to be treated the way He was...
we have a share in caring for others less fortunate...or we have a share in ignoring others less fortunate. God has provided for those less fortunate on earth in an eternal way...He's not taking that provision away. (though there is a definate end to the "things" pertaining to Christ on earth.)
Star tiger...(not accusing) have you done anything to show God that you could be His child or do you show Him you are of the world? looking back to the cross we can see that Jesus asked His Father to "forgive them"..."they know not what they do".
...do you know what you do?

dear Tammy...
you said: We are supposed to build each other up, not tear each other down. Because if you are genuinely concerned, Michelle, then you should know that your words are showing condescension (as if you are trying to prove her wrong - or rather prove Shelby wrong ). Her faith is not subject to judgment; not by any of us."...
asking watersprout to ponder the reason for faith in her lord by reading the scriptures is tearing her down?
my genuine concern is shown by the fact that I continued with her even though she showed herself to be unreasonable. I turned the other cheek to her mocking and distain for my efforts...just like Jesus taught me...just as the Holy Spirit gave me strength to do.
I wasn't judging her faith...I was asking about her faith.
but...what IS the point of descerning truth from error...or what IS the point of testing the spirits if you don't use the data to make an informed decision?...the whole excercise is a non-starter if you aren't going to judge right from wrong and do right. I asked watersprout to decide for herself if the love of her lord was flowing from her mouth...1 corinthians 11:28, 31

dear thenoblelodge...
you stated: "Instead you to want to destroy her faith by calling into question what she believes in and who she really belongs to."......
I had asked watersprout to explain her faith to me and why she has faith in her lord....isn't this the reason for the great commission?...to share your faith so that others can understand and perhaps make a choice to investigate further if that faith is something that might resonate with them...ie: if I believe that I am not being filled in my spirit...and there might be a God who can fill my spirit...I might be searching for God. if God is aware of this searching He might place someone in the path of the searcher in order to bring about dialogue towards the searcher identifying God. How was watersprout helpful in pointing me towards her God?..."Go therefore and make disciples out of all nations...teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you"matthew 28:19-20
I understand that many people that were and are JW's have been victims in many ways...and that hurts me because I was a victim too...If you don't understand that my desire to discuss with watersprout the finer points of her faith were to help her to understand WHAT she affirms so that she can in turn pass it on then you don't understand one of the reasons for spreading the gospel...helping others to stand in the evil day...this was evidenced in the early church...paul and the apostles taught others about the faith and they reinforced the "reason" for their faith by teaching them. one of the first principles of the faith was that Jesus was the Lamb of God...john 1:29. if watersprout doesn't like the bible because she thinks that the OT God is evil...then WHERE is she going to get the foundational truths to even speak about Jesus being the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world?...seriously...
following the course she has set for herself...who has the potential to be pointing fingers and passing blame on to others for her lack of understanding?...seriously...
My son, if you receive my words,
And treasure my commands within you,
2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom,
And apply your heart to understanding;
3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding,
4 If you seek her as silver,
And search for her as for hidden treasures;
5 Then you will understand the fear of the LORD,
And find the knowledge of God.
6 For the LORD gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;
7 He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;
8 He guards the paths of justice,
And preserves the way of His saints.
9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice,
Equity and every good path.
10 When wisdom enters your heart,
And knowledge is pleasant to your soul,
11 Discretion will preserve you;
Understanding will keep you,
12 To deliver you from the way of evil,
From the man who speaks perverse things,
13 From those who leave the paths of uprightness
To walk in the ways of darkness; (proverbs 2:1-13)so, thenoblelodge...you fancy yourself protecting her from me...but I'm not her enemy...her enemy wants to lead her off into darkness and lack of knowledge...proverbs 4:19...the Holy Spirit caused to be written...proverbs 4:20-22,26...and by extention you can instruct others as the Holy Spirit leads you and Jesus commands you...matthew 28:19-20.

What say you Christians ???
by wobble init seems to me that most, if not all christians are really hung up on sin and redemption from sin and how naturally evil we all are.. my question, and observation is this : i had nothing to do with whatever you say adam and eve did wrong, i have always, throughout my life, treated whoever i came into contact with compassion, respect and love.. i have lived by the golden rule.. not many people, hand on heart, can say that, i can.. so, is your god going to judge me for the "sin" of some mythical forebears of mine ?
is he going to say that , because i did not believe in him, i willl be judged adversely, even though i lived by the precepts he is supposed to support ?.
all i can say is, if your god is like that, i refuse to worship or acknowledge him.. and i certainly do not want to get to know him.
