let's take a completely fresh approach.. take out your eraser and wipe the blackboard clean.. there!.

now, start over.... we can't go outside with a telescope and search the skies for a location for god or heaven.. there is a source for god ideas.. depending on what your national and racial origin is the source may be some holy writings.. in the west, due to accident of birth (on our part) we have the bible or scriptures.. this is a received text, so we are told.. take it or leave it---you cannot go around it.. can we all agree on one thing?

Jesus was quite sure that His essential message was correctly received AND He had faith in those He had sent out to preach the message. whether He sent out His apostles with His message or whether He sent out 70 (two by two) into every city that He would go...one can be confident that these disciples had been given the teaching in line with that of the Holy Spirit before being BLESSED and sent out...

Jesus said about those who He Himself had taught for a specific purpose: He who hears you hears Me, and he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me. luke 10:16.

with the word of the Lord Jesus in mind...WHY can we reject the authoritive teaching of the apostles that is contained in the bible? WHY can your expressed opinion have more weight than that of Jesus Christ?

Do active JW's understand the "new light" on the feet toes of the staue in Daniel?

can someone enlighten me as to what is the new understanding vs the old one regarding the vision of the statue was given by god to king nebuchadnezzar of babylon in a dream?

i have asked two of the jw's who work with me and neither of them were able to explain it to me.

the best i got was "well the feet and clay are not just the u.s. and great britain, they are i think most of the big powers as a whole or something like that.".

At the correct time(s) GOD reveals aspects of the "times" WE live in from the ancient scriptures of His prophets...in the book of revelation Jesus calls this "hidden manna". revelation 2:17.

I can also post my observations here if you prefer...I wasn't being deceitful...I was being honest and discreet.

luke 16:19-31...Jesus has Father Abraham telling believers in hell that they could have "stood" to hear/read Moses and the prophets more. the written word of God also implies that it is milk for babes and meat for men...1 peter 2:2, matthew 24:45. love michelle

my point is what it is...it is in reference to what you said and the malicious attitude displayed by a lot of posters on JWN...

I've heard it said here a few times that if you talk about God or religion you're just asking to be beaten down...a bully attitude if there ever was one.

casting stones?...doubtful...but that comment towards me IS one way of re-enforcing victimization in your own mind...

I find it belittles individuals personally when they feel that being an x-JW some how gives them entitlement to be abusive and mean spirited...as much as many of you have been spiritually abused by the WTBTS you aren't the only people in the world who have been abused. One thing that some individuals might want to look into is how to stop the cycle of abuse...it starts with you...

Grace is gracious...you have the capacity to be too, I'm sure. Why you choose to project yourselves as less than civilised is odd and certainly counter-productive to any advocacy you wish to pursue.
