Was Jesus a REAL person?

so i've reached the point where i've reconciled that the majority of bible stories that i was raised with are the works of fiction and are as real as cartoon and fairytales.

but jesus, i'm still crafting my view(s)on that.

jesus as the son of an almighty sky god, i don't believe.

you said: "The legend of a man that dared to stand up to oppressiveness became the martyred hero of the oppressed and his story was embellished and added on to as time went by so that now we have legends that either God himself came in man's form, or in the very least, is God's 1st born sent to earth."...

By the testimony of two or three witnesses the matter is established (john 1:6-8; john 5:31-32,39).

since NT times the rabbi's have made a lengthy list of different "signs" that would signal the advent of their Messiah but the scripture shows that at the time of the first advent of Jesus Christ there weren't as many "signs" BUT the "signs" that needed to be fullfilled were even MORE miraculous because only God could preform them...

luke 4:16-22

in the gospel of john we are shown that john the baptist and the jews were expecting someone(john 1:31; matthew 11:2-3). Jesus said that He was fulfilling all the signs of the promised Messiah(matthew 11:4-6)

Jesus heals the man BORN blind...john 9:1-30

Jesus heals the lame...luke 5:16-25; matt 9:1-8; mark 2:1-12

Jesus heals leapers...luke 5:12-15; matt 8:2-4; mark 1:40-45

Jesus heals the deaf...mark 7:31-37

Jesus raises someone who had been dead for AT LEAST three days...john 11:43-47

Jesus did these "signs" and more to bring glory to God and the religious leaders knew that He was fulfilling all the required "signs" john 11:47; matthew 12:14...ALL this before your "witness"...as you said: "his story was embellished and added on to as time went by so that now we have legends..."

1. charles taze russell was not a jehovah's witness (because judge rutherford had not invented the term as yet); he was a 2nd adventist (wannabe).. .

2. adventists were hung up on one idea that they could not let go of no matter how many times they were proved wrong: end times date-setting.. 3.pastor russell threw every gimmick he could cobble together into creating a personal theology for sale using books and magazines through his publishing house.

dispensation charts, pyramidology, claims of inside information (fds bullshit) created a fanbase of customers.. 4. the eventual prediction for the end of the world was 1914 since jesus had already returned.

you have to "behold" these two witnesses(matthew 17:3)and see their "work" before you will see the glory of God. rev 11:11

Why do we love sunsets?

every clear morning driving in my car i catch myself gazing at the sunrise.

it's different almost every morning as the clouds change the amount of light that hits the earth's surface.

the earth rotates on it's axis, among other traits, creating a brilliant prism effect as the sunlight shoots at me from different angles as the seasons pass by.. anyone and everyone can appriciate the sun as it rises and falls bellow the horizon each day.

the colours in your picture reminded me of a picture that a friend of mine drew for me a long time ago (finger painting with oil pastels instead of paint) it shows us waiting for the sunset.

But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then *they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”
Then He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. The Importance of Watching

“But take heed to yourselves, lest your *hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy(may have strength) to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
And in the daytime He was teaching in the temple, but at night He went out and stayed on the mountain called Olivet. luke 21:23-37

in the bible, generation can also mean offspring or kind. Since the passage in luke 21:32 is talking about the final generation before the coming of the Son of Man it should also be looked at in context. The final generation is said to be eating and drinking giving in marriage etc and then sudden destruction comes upon them...this is the same as in noah's day...(matthew 24:37-39)and in noah's day it was the fallen angels who were giving and taking in marriage with human women. the NT talks about a flesh "man" and a spiritual "man"...so now-a-days those "wo[men]" who are giving and taking in marriage(fake Holy Spirit rev 13:13) those OTHER THAN Jesus Christ are impregnating their minds(the mark in the forehead rev 13:16) with doctrines of demons(1 timothy 4:1)...and they nurse these ideas along with others who would be deceived with them.(matt 12:35;luke 11:24-26)

those who are the bride of Jesus Christ have the Holy Spirit in them(see luke 1:35)...they are not deceived. (see john 14:23,26; 1 cor 6:14-19; 2 cor 6:16; rev 12:1-2)

imo "overlapping generation" is distraction for those already deceived.
