i was following some links researching something to do with my condition when i came across this article by the well known christian author john piper called "don't waste your cancer".. if i had still been a christian when i got my diagnosis i would have been subjected to these sort of pious platitudes.

ok then...when reading the NT for further truth it appears that our "soul/being" can walk around whether it is a physical body or a spirit body...(Jesus, man, angels, demons)...and our spirit within our "soul" can be alive toward God or dead toward God...all this happens in this earthly "realm", even those who are made alive in the spirit are made alive toward God in the earthly "realm". love michelle

the genesis account does reflect the notion that God created man ON earth of the dust of the earth. you would have to INJECT a distinction into the account in order to confirm your dogma. you say he could traverse "both" at that time; like you're biased toward the idea that two DIFFERENT "realms" are eluded to. So, what do you mean when you say, "in any case"?...

in genesis 2 it says that God created man on the earth and then in genesis 2:15 God took him to the garden of eden(2:8-14) to tend and keep it...why would God create man on physical earth and then take him to a different "realm"?

when A&E were driven from the garden there is no evidence that they "died spiritually" in the sense that you have implied. The bible does say that the human spirit is dead toward God OR alive toward God (through Jesus Christ).
One can die(physically) in their sins(john 8:24), which wouldn't BE or MEAN anything if the spirit is "dead" without Jesus Christ.
what do you think it means when the sea gives up the dead who were in it...and they were judged, each one according to their works? rev 20:13

apologies if this has been posted before or even discussed.. this ted talk gets at the heart of what atheism is missing and my wife an di discussed this for a long time last night.
in short religion provides a framework for meeting, for ritual, for art, education and sociality.
without this framework atheism can seem lonely harsh and certainly disorganised (the general idea that education and culture can replace the gap may well be true but without a formal structure the route to personal mental fulfillment is somewhat piecemeal and patchwork.
You should avoid the illusion that you live in a small world in which you can decide there is no God without consequence.

in the form of a prediction, that can be proven to truly be a prediction,i.e written before the event, and it came true ?.
it would be good not to have time wasters on this thread in the form of the common ones that are brought up to demonstrate the bible's prophetic prowess, like cyrus being named , these have been debunked already.. but does there seem to be a genuine prophecy in there somewhere ?.

watchtower theology is propped up by proof texts.. if the texts are inspired, the watchtower claims it is empowered to reveal the meaning.. but--consider how flimsy, inauthentic and unprovable the foundation of this teaching really is.. .
consider the difference (if any) in meaning between these two renderings.. .
1.all scripture is inspired by god and useful for teaching, reproving and setting things straight.. .

i would say that that would be impossible...given that jesus christ is simply an angelic being in wts eyes.. jehovah's witnesses have about as much a relationship with the angel gabriel as they do with jesus.. and, no...tacking on the name of jesus at the end of a prayer is not evidence of relationship..

I don't need to show you how she insinuates that neither the bible nor any of the church fathers can be trusted because they only listen to man...naturally, if everyone would only "hear" her lord everything would be straightened out for the better...we would all agree with her!!! Now, my point is this...her lord is essentially leading her away from any normal communion with others who would want to follow Jesus Christ...Jesus Christ is in people who are leading thier lives in service to others in His name, Jesus Christ is in people who have led HOLY lives trying to imitate Him...being daily sanctified by the Spirit...cleansed of the filth in the world. AGuest swears that her lord is not part of a trinity...nor is his name Jesus...nor would he lead anyone to read the bible...and it is because of these things she says as well that I doubt very much that her lord is the Christ spoken of as the Saviour sent into the world, the passover Lamb...and the reason you should doubt too is because (among other things) her lord IS causing a division of the Spirit that has indwelt the church...like it or not the orthodox has been convicted by the Holy Spirit of the truth of the trinity and has taught this to their congregants for almost 2000 years...only a spirit of division would "resurface" at this time to draw people away...if the "mind of Christ" wants people protected from preditors the safest place to be is ensconced in a sheep pen...not wandering around on a spiritual journey "listening" for a voice. I had said before that I thought that you were in danger of being mislead by the same spirit that is misleading AGuest...you still are...you test the spirit by love, forgiveness and mercy...but do you test the spirit by truth?...Jesus was speaking the truth when He said that people would die in their sins (john 8:24)...you are not being non-judgemental by not telling people this you are over-riding the previous judgement that God has made...the gospel stalls at the start line if you wont stand to tell people they have been judged...BUT...there IS Good News. Have you ever asked yourself why AGuest sees her lord as a dead carcass that people gather around to eat?...don't you think that is contrary to scripture? to reason even?...wasn't Jesus going to give His disciples life?...life that He had within Himself from everlasting? If this makes sense to you then why?... You should know that what you do naturally doesn't lead to life...being nice, loving and merciful is not the same as repenting. There is a way that seems right to a man...but its end is the way of death. proverbs 14:12 I know that it goes against your idea of freedom...but, in fact, Jesus did set people over you who are to look out for you...and even if you don't agree with them doesn't mean that they are not there for your protection...like a child who wanders would be brought back into the yard by a loving guardian...that is what the Holy Spirit would have me do in regard to you...and AGuest.
