"good" news doesn't sell...doesn't this say something about the moral DECLINE of our conscious?Putting actual events aside, as a society, where are "old-fashioned" christian values? Weren't they the "norm" a century ago in the western world? Peoples minds seem to be polluted with what could be called worldly ways. In Roman times pagans took great delight in the suffering and torture of christians, THEIR MINDS WEREN'T RIGHT. I think this is happening to a greater degree now, Peoples minds aren't right, the spirit of this world has more sway with people because these christian values are being ignored or pushed aside for the pleasures of the world. First we remove God and then His ideals....what's left? Human nature at its ugliest....

For myself, I am just broken hearted by the state of the world. Not everything of course but when a child kills his clasmates and his relitives and then himself...when a grown man takes a child from her bed and rapes and kills her....when adults and children are starving, and despite continued efforts to feed them, they die....I could go on, but you get the picture....

The foundation of belief in GOD is trust. The "tone" of the WT teaching fosters and perpetuates doubt in personal security and salvation. This is contrary to the message of GOD, which is to foster trust. We are to "rest" on His PROMISES. One can not grow in christian maturity when one lives in doubt. WT repeatedly says, be in fear..... God says, "Do not fear......."

you don't automatically wake up with a headache on sunday morning.... you no longer go around (while in field service) mentally deciding what home you'll "have" after armaggedon.... every item of clothing you buy as a woman is not first assessed for its modesty value.... you no longer worry about the 144,000 watching you have sex...:).
when on holiday you don't have to find the nearest kingdom hall asap (remember brother and sisters you are not on holiday from jehovah!!!).
being able to laugh about having a numb ass at the assemblies from sitting and the hilarity in having to tell people that you found the meeting "uplifting" when really you were fighting sleep the whole time.... you no longer have to avoid entire sections of music stores in order to make sure you don't pick up and "demonistic" vibes from backmasked cd's.
You know you're NOT a JW anymore when......
you're not afraid to admit it to someone who is.....
and then the end will come.. something like that!!.
so, for those who believe the bible, who are these people and what scripture would back that?.

Forget about their not being able to speak to all the people because of time constraints, the JW's are loath to enter into the preaching work to the extent that Jesus did because they would have to step in the "poop", so to speak. This shouldn't bother anyone though, the JW message is not the message that Jesus spoke of. And there are plenty of slaves that are honoured to roll up their pants and pick up their skirts to pass through any amount of garbage, to speak to the people, the complete message of the Kingdom. Thank you brothers and sisters.

personally i believe that 607 is not the right date, but here is another point of view.. does 607 or 587 or 609 or 586 or 1914 really matter?
yes but only after you have a pivotal date.

2520 times from 607 does not equal 1914. 607 to 1914 is 2520 years. A year has 365 days. A time has 360 days(as declared by the WTS). That's a discrepancy of 5 days a year. Over 2520 years that's 12600 days or over 34 years.

p.s. I will say this right away though, When God first spoke to me through His written Word, I did not get a peaceful feeling about the world around me. I started to see more clearly all the "evil" living SIDE BY SIDE with the good.
