While looking for and answer to a question this morning I came across a scripture that REALLY made me think about the role that the WBTS might play in Gods plan. The scripture is:
Romans 9:17...
For the scripture says to Pharaoh," Even for this same purpose I have raised you up, that I might show My power in you, and that My name might be declared in all the earth."
Now, we know that the Pharaoh was not a very "cool" dude as far as God was concerned, but God used him. Could God be using the WBTS just to get His name or the word of God out into the world right now. If this is a parallel situation (and it could be given that the witnesses are like slaves) then, would God be saying that THE END JUSTIFIES THE MEANS? Or, is the WBTS message just too far removed from the real message of the gospel to be of any use in leading (enough) people into a living relationship with God the Father?
In verse 20 of the same chapter God is asking the reader....in a round about way, why do you question my ways?
I would like to add that I haven't decided to give my support to the WBTS and nor will I, would I support the Pharaoh? NO. But maybe the WBTS has its place and if so, can we expect the deliverance of the slaves any time soon because Gods name has covered the earth?
Any comments, or should I go back to bed?

I have to hate the ENTITY behind the WBTS. Satan has a strong hold on the minds and hearts of the leaders of this thankless cult. May God have mercy on their souls. May God show His mercy to those who have come under the oppression and lies that this organization calls "the truth".

as a matter of fact, the authors have been able to uncover partially a carefully guarded watchtower secret; the names of five of the member of the new world translation committee.
not one of these five people has any training in greek...(or hebrew).. dr. julius mantey a leading greek scholar in the world stated: "i have never read any new testament so badly translated as the kingdom interlinear translation of the greek scriptures.

the NWT just doesn't sound right when you read it out loud, the speech is too....umm...abrupt?...cold? there is nothing poetic in their choice of words. Do you know what I mean?Other than that the message still comes through.

for me the call to "stay awake" means, KEEP THE FAITH. Some believers just aren't interested in signs, and may not notice them, they may become discouraged for whatever reason. That's fine..... but.... don't give up your hope....STAY AWAKE!
Like the parable of the ten virgins matt 25:1-13 a dead faith is nothing, you need a present active faith, you need oil in your lamp.

We certainly are agreed. And in response to the title of the thread, yes. That's why I also say "the due time has arrived". I'm not panicing and my intention was to draw attention to another sign that some may not realize because they haven't dug into the riches of the Bible. There's tonnes more.

as a servant of God the fact that there is a state of Israel NOW brings joy to my heart, refreshes my soul and strengthens my bones, so to speak, because I think that it is fulfillment of prophesy for the last generation. As far as the rest of the scripture quoted, when Israel was recognised as a nation, her neighbours were enraged. Look at the continuing conflict, their sole aim is to push Israel into the sea. Perhaps her enemies don't see the Lords hand in her rebirth, but they have GOT to be scratching their heads wondering why and how on earth?
