It's helpful to acknowledge the Israelite calendar when placing the crucifixion on a specific timeline. There is more than one Sabbath during the Passover/Unleavened Bread feast and it seems it's not the weekly Sabbath that was spoken of in the text. You'll notice that this timeline uses both systems of counting the days, midnight to midnight and sunset to sunset. Portions of these days constitute the biblical 3 days and three nights.

The bible says that A&E were good, not perfect and the text implies that they needed to eat of the tree of life, in the middle of the garden, to sustain their life. Once cast out of the garden the angels guarded the entrance so that they wouldn't be able to eat of the tree and live forever.
Also, A&E were destined to die for their own unrighteousness as God decreed. Abel died as a result of his brother's unrighteousness, which had nothing to do with God's justice.

they completely ignore the teachings of paul and hold onto james.
.. it would appear that there is a contradiction between james' teaching and paul's teaching, yet the bible tells us to rightly divide the word of truth.
Works are an expression of the biblical faith, not the path to salvation. Salvation is wholly dependent on God's mercy (through the agency of Jesus). Jesus says, "If you love Me, keep My commands", He's talking about "works".
In the OT the Father said "Deuteronomy 11:8".
In the NT Jesus was reiterating: "Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority." (John 7:16-18)

for those jehovah`s witnesses that beleive heaven is a spiritual paradise ,think about this.. rev.12: 7-9 .
and as a sub thought ,if god was indeed a god of love ,why would he cast satan down to the earth to mislead deceive and harm god`s children ?.
no human parent would do such a thing to their children ,so why would a god who is supposed to be a god of love do so ?.
I think God threw satan to earth to get this era over with. Matthew 24:2.

sunday is my 76th birthday and i know that you want to know how it "feels" to have outlived my usefulness, to have lost my natural beauty (being reduced to wrinkles and flab), and constantly walking into a room not knowing why i'm there.
you also are curious as to how i can continue to find a reason to live since none of my kids think my opinions have any possible value, most of my facebooks friends i wouldn't recognize if i tripped over them on my way into starbucks, and my monthly expenditure on bird treats exceeds u.s. spending on the military.

There are Hebraisms throughout the "NT" and all the books that are there, should be there. The early Christian community was mainly Jewish (using that term broadly to describe people from the tribes of Judah, Benjamin and Levi...Hebrews who lived in Judea). The bible identifies them as a sect (of Judaism) called, "The Way". Acts 9:2; 19:9, 23; 22:4; 24:14, 22. In fact, after he was converted, the Apostle Paul was accused by Jewish leaders of departing from torah and thereby "offending the Jews" and he steadfastly denied doing so...that is how similar early Christianity was to Judaism. Jesus was the Jewish Messiah. Everything in the Revelation would have been (if not completely understood)... understandable by harkening back to the "OT" AND/OR other source books available. Due to the fact that WE are this far removed in time and culture from the early community, the Christianity we see today (across the board in every denomination including JW's) has little resemblance to the VERY Jewish beliefs, practices and understanding of so long ago. Some existed in spirit bodies in the first earth age. We are now brought into this second earth age through birth (water) in a body of flesh. As believers we are messengers and can be called angels because our spiritual body will pass into eternity and the third earth age. Acts 12:15 portrays the belief that Peter had passed on and so speaking to him would have been sorcery and an abomination. (Deut. 18:10-12)
