i would like some advice from any of you that have been there - a good friend of mine had an affair years ago, ended up working with the same guy and is now in love with her boyfriend instead of her husband ( several kids involved) the affair is now not a physical one but there is no doubt they are dating.

i wish i was unaware but i am - she says she has picked her family over the boyfriend but he is like a bumble bee around her- walking her dog past her house etc the boyfriend is older, married and has always been a tomcat - now he is truly in love and will wait.

i have told her it is going to blow up - and i know it is her deal to figure out - but i am from the happily married class and am at a loss.

if you are hungry, why buy yourself an entire meal when you can go around the supermarket tasting samples from the sweet demo ladies. (or insert cow and milk analogy here)

we all want a quick fix. someone to take our problems away or at least destract us from them. it takes the responsibilty of decision, change and hard work away from us!

heres the thing. if this person is unhappy in her marriage. then closing her eyes and pretending she's not really married isn't the answer. dating the first person who shows us attention isn't the answer.

you can't run away from yourself. this person is a married lady with a family. she can't live in a fantasy world and pretend that isn't the case.

if she is not happy being a married lady...then take the steps to get out on her own. own up the responsibilty of her wants.

once she is on her own, supporting herself...she will then be free to date whoever she wants. and she probably won't want the tom cat.

i'm in the mood for something a little different tonight.. when i was a popular witness (before being a witness wore me down and my kids became teenagers and people starting judging us for being "liberal") we used to entertain a lot.

i miss that.. i'm a very social creature.

after thinking about it, i can understand why.

Leaving a Cult~Recovery

the information on the internet is very abundant about the watchtower and all its dirty little secrets.

all the information is out there, exposing what they don't want us to know.

past research has been done`` so now its much easier to present it to those willing to listen.

i will use myself as an example. i am currently in the throes of deep depression. i do not have the desire nor the energy to live let alone recover. i have no support system. i have no religion. i have no god.

i didn't come equipped with the tools to handle this life changing event. i don't want to be around people. i'm cranky, and sad and crying...i sleep when i'm supposed to be awake and am awake when i'm supposed to be sleeping.

my 30+ years as a jw have a strong hold on my mind. complete negativity. try engaging cognitive behavioral therapy with a jw mindset. almost impossible.

i lack the tools for socialization. i am intelligent yet have an extremly low self-esteem. i crave love yet i do not love myself.

i know what i am experiencing at present are only feelings and biological chemicals. i understand intellectually that this will pass. emotionally is another story.

i have pretty much layed down and surrendered to death. choking on the dust and lack of oxygen of being buried alive.

i have no desire to go to another church. i want to dance around the fire in the woods naked while chanting to the animal spirits...but, no one does that around here.

i am so lonley and alone i am screaming on the inside.i am immobilized.i lack motivation to wash a dish let alone recover from 30 years of brainwashing.
