Hi, i am new here. I quit JW not too long ago. And i have a question.
What are you're xperiences with getting in the 'normal' live with doing birthday's etc? Don't you find it
strange to get started with these things after 30 yrs not have done it. It's odd the get a normal
live i think... did you find it difficult to do the things JW's don't?
and were you ever looked down upon?
Here in holland JW are very materialistic. They drive with porsche and ferrari to the congragations. Those wealthy
families look down on others though they pretend not to. They kindda clan within the congragation.
Many JW look down on others if they get inactive..you become dangerous. Many 'friends'let me down
when i was quitting, even without being excluded at that time..... It's the system, it's a social vacuum.

think an elder can harm you... ? It's just the fear indoctrination and the social vacuum that got to you. Stand up and be free...

is it wrong for my parents to be overprotective?
it's not overprotective like curfews but it's overprotective like they won't let me go anywhere.
they won't even let me go to the beach with sisters!
