with all the news on tv lately about the extreme weather conditions affecting the east coast of the us, the mud slides in the middle east and south america, along with the dire predictions made by such films as the day after tomorrow, we shouldn't forget that england has its share of devastating weather too.. i've attached a photo illustrating the damage caused to a friend's home from a storm that passed through southern england last night.. it really makes you cherish what you have, and reminds us not to take things for granted.. .

according to yahoo news, if you drink a cup of urine a day, you can get rid of dandruff, graying hair can turn black, sinus trouble can vanish and even cancer can be cured!

in thailand, buddhist monks do this regularly and swear by it!.....what do you think?

to me this seems cruel.

after my divorce i heard from a friend that my ex-husband's new wife was doing this to his son to stop him from telling lies.

i was very upset about it especially since he had learned to lie from his father.. i think it is mean, what do you think about it?.

Ick. Blech. Maybe all parents should just be given littl shock collars for their kids. That will teach the buggers some boundaries!

Thanks. I am pretty close to her, but I don't know that much about her life......she is pretty closed down when it comes to her past. But, I guess it can't hurt to ask her about it.

RR--It seems to me that a lot of peole have trouble separating movies and other entertainment media from "reality". And if they think that a movie is based on a "true story" they take it as fact.

I wonder if a lot of.....should I say non-religous? How about areligious--people who have no background with the Bible--I wonder if many of them watched the film.

While I was writing about my time in the "borg", I remembered a time that my mother had been disfellowshipped. I don't remember why it had happened. I am not sure that anyone ever told me. I am curious now and it wouldn't make me feel any different about my mom to find out why it happened. She has never told me because I never asked. Do I have any right to ask her about what happened, 22 years later??

Perhaps I should let well enough alone and just forget about it.
