  i've got a little fuzz growing right now, and it got me to thinking about the wts inane animosity toward beards.

  abram, noah, and moses had beards... within a reasonable doubt.

  russell had a bea... holy crap, russell had a beard.. the war on whiskers went so far as to shave jesus for a time.. was this scrimmage against man face an attempt by rutherford and co to remove the influence of russell?

  While searching for what Lady Lee referred to above, I found this...I haven't quite figured out the deeper signifcance yet but I am pretty sure there is one...there just has to be...

  Bearded collies... work ‘far and away’, searching for lost sheep,
  and do not intimidate stock with their ‘eye’...

  Rutherford strain of smooth-coated collies...

  ...‘bare-skinned’ or smooth-coated ‘collies’ (forerunners of what we recognise today as Kennel Club registered Smooth Collies) had strong temperaments...

  Definitely time for bed...

  What do you believe now?

  i have been out of the jws officially for over 3 years now, since disassociating.

  after researching the history of the organization and reading the bible (without) the watchtower, i am now a christian.

  i am just curious what happens to most ex-jws as far as their beliefs go, after they leave the organization.

  How long were you pagan?

  I was secretly pagan the whole time I was growing up a JW in the sense that I felt very close to nature (in communion with trees, rocks,etc), experienced God as being as much female as male in so far as such terms can be used to describe the divine, and I had no real connection with Christ and saw no need for one.

  What do you mean by "you embraced Christianity"

  Good question. When Christ came to me this past summer (much to my astonishment) and embraced me, I embraced Him back, and I feel that makes me a Christian. Embraced=accepted. Sorry I'm not more articulate; I'm still trying to figure out what it means myself

  i just can't shake it.

  my deep down personal self-image is that i'm a jw.

  i was at my grandma's today in another city (she's catholic), and lo and behold, they knock at the door.

  Anyway, whenever I run into JWs, I feel like I'm home again, and feel totally comfortable. Anyone else know what I mean? (By the way, I was raised a JW since age 2.)

  Nope. Sorry. Can't relate.

  This, however, I can relate to. There are some very sweet, caring, dedicated JWs. And some of them are my family. I love them dearly. And I wish they were free to serve Christ instead of a non-prophet publishing company. And free to talk to me.

  (By the way, I was raised a JW since before I was born. LOL. Several generations worth.)

  Who will be resurrected according to the WTS?

  i was wondering what the wts's stand is on who will be resurrected into the "new system".

  because of the assertion that people have been "freed from sin" upon their death, shouldn't just about all people who ever lived deserve a resurrection?.

  the only ones who won't be resurrected, according to the wts, are those who commit the unforgiveable sin:*** g75 10/22 p. 12 how can you benefit from this hope?

  However, since God is the Judge, there is no reason for us to try to figure out whether certain wicked people in the past or in modern times will be resurrected or not.

  I couldn't help but find this quote amusing (pe 166-174 "Resurrection--for Whom, and When?") considering the lengths they go to both before and after it, as well as in lots of other literature, to explain in detail who will and who won't.

  They were never able to clarify the unforgivable sin for me either, i.e. blaspheming against the Holy Spirit. Another quote from the same source:

  Persons who willfully do what is bad after knowing God’s will may be sinning against the holy spirit.
