last year, i put out a bird feeder and filled it with seed.
i would frequently watch birds come and go while making breakfast.. during early summer, i passed by the window and spotted a hummingbird hovering near the seed filled feeder, looking around.
as if to say, "where's mine?"..
Thanks for that Metatron...what a good way to start the day...beautiful reminder...

in the topic of 'jws and dairy products' i was beginning to wonder why there were no guidlines in the bible as to 'how long' and animal had to be bled for when it was killed.
was there a specific time mentioned in the bible...or in the end, the fact that there was no specific time instructed, supposedly by god' must prove that the no blood sanction was just a symbolic gesture?
it is totally impossible to bleed every last drop of blood out of a creature, surely.
You would...

elders are supposed to meet everyone once a year, either df'd ones or inactive, just to try to bring them back.. in my case, they usually try right before the memorial.
how about you?.
No. It was 10 or 11 years later. I said I do have a few questions, actually. But he quickly brushed that off and said they just wanted to see if I want to come back to meetings and, if so, I'm welcome at the KH.
Come late, leave early, keep my mouth shut, don't make eye contact, be ignored, sit in the back, and listen to the mind-numbing repetition. Sounds like a good time. Sign me up! At least I would be in good company--Christ gets ignored there all the time

this is my first time ever participating in any discussion with ex -witnesses ever, and it's long overdue.
i discovered the real truth about 6 years ago with the aid of websites like this (cannot contain my gratefulness), now i am stepping into your world and it feels right.
my family runs four generations deep in witness muck,my great-grandmother was the oldest living pioneer in our region for what seemed like forever, three of my great-grandparents were "anointed",my grandfather hobnobbed with the governing body, etc.,etc.
Welcome from me too (better late than never)...
Here's a favorite of mine, hope you like it:

i offer you a few recent musings, to consider.
i'm not trying to make statements of facts or argue for a set of beliefs, or anything of the sort.
i guess i'd just really like to discuss the subject of the mind without getting entrenched positions on the various subjects surrounding it.
I love to see what comes pouring out during moments like these....
I never thought about religion imitating nature in this way and for this purpose before, but I think it's spot on. And I totally agree about the WTS in that regard--stifling, crippling. That's why I had to leave...my soul cried out, "It's them or me," so I had to save my soul.

did anyone see the program on the national geographic channel - science of the bible-rivals of jesus?.
here is a description taken from their website:science of the bible.
rivals of jesus [].
I thought it was an interesting show. I knew there had been a lot of Messianic rivals bit didn't know anythiong about any of them individually.
One of the things that caught my interest was that Simon Magus had a companion named Helena who had been a prostitute.
