Survey/Psych Paper Results
by deneranys inthank you to everyone who participated in my jw adolescent survey for my developmental psychology term paper!
several were interested in how it turned out, so here are some of the findings from the survey.
from those that responded, fewer jw adolescents (about half as much) took illegal drugs and had sex than the average teen.

Fascinating. And I now want to learn more about "foreclosure." What little bit I read here is helping me make sense of some stuff.
Thanks for sharing.

Another Newbie :)
by merfi init's hard to know where to begin, so i'll just... begin.. i had my first encounter with jw in high school when my now ex-husband moved into our small town.
(you're doing the math already, aren't ya?
:) ) after finding out he was a jw, i did a little bit of reading into it, which he discouraged... told me that that stuff is "apostate" (i had no idea what that meant) and that he'd give me stuff to read.

My sister the robot
by beautifulisfree inyep- my favorite sister when i was growing up is still one of them.
even though all of her family has found out the truth.
we all have tried our best to help her see it's not the truth...but,she brushes everything off and says oh well.

So frustrating! In a complaint-against-the-org sense, it's not about who is doing it, it's about who is protecting the ones who are doing it instead of protecting the childrenThey are always missing the point.
