JW's are an unknown fringe group

i went to a dinner party tonight that had about 100 people, all non jws.

laughter and merriment and a good time was had by all.. these were good honest hard working people who have no clue as to what jws believe or that they are going to be judged according to whether they believe like witnesses do.. it impressed on my mind just how unknown witnesses are and how little people pay any attention to their message.. witnesses think they are the center of the universe.

non-witnesses don't even think about them at all.. joel

Being a "worldly" girl for 3/4's of my life, I know this to be true.
Most people don't have a clue. I always blow people away when I share my families experience with shunning.

Most just consider JW's an annoyance that comes to the door attempting to convert them.

finally it was bought and soon rented out to what appeared at first, a group of college kids.

her ladyship's gone down to pompey to visit the crazy woman who calls herself her mother.. no 1 son is sweltering in st petersburg florida.. no 2 son is entertaining his girl-friend.. no 3 son is playing football for the umpteenth time this week.. so, i'm all by myself till tomorrow!.

"alternative therapy"=unproven therapy

I would like to drop kick her lawyer into the next galaxy. Anyone that understands what AML, and it's treatment, does to the blood would find "bloodless" treatment laughable.

I'm curious, has this girl had ANY treatment yet? People that are diagnosed with AML generally need to start treatment ASAP. The more time that goes by, more malignant white blood cells clog her blood. This ultimately means less chance for survival. It is when treatment is started, blood components are needed. Is this girl getting chemo whilst the court battles rage?

Hoping that it all turns out ok.

WooHoo - I got the job, time to leave the borg

my current job is due to be phased out within the next few weeks and i had been reluctant to make my announcement until i secured a new position.

i figured just in case my wife went beserk and left i would'nt want to be stuck looking for a job and carrying all the bills.. anyway i went on an interview yesterday within the company and this morning i got the call that if i wanted the job it was mine, so naturally i accepted without hesitation.

so now my next step is to get a second car within the next few days, that way i won't be stuck at the house when my wife is at the meetings or field service.

in a relationship, their is 3 basic components: .

1. trust.

Yes, it can be restored again. However, the relationship will never be the same again.

My spouse and I have never been unfaithful, but my best girlfriends husband cheated on her after about 5 years of marriage. He had an affair that last a few months and she discovered it. She wanted to savage the marriage and all her other friends told her how stupid she was for wanting that. I didn't, I just supported her, regardless of her decision.

They lived apart for about a year and went to marriage counseling. Her and I had many long phone conversations. It was NOT an easy road back, but because they were both determined to rebuild and because HE very sorry and willing to do anything to gain her trust back again. And believe me, he did alot! Even down to accounting for ALL his time for a couple of years. She laid down many conditions and he agreed. It's been 10 years now and they are still married. Happily, too.

I think that anything is possible if both parties want it bad enough.

Good News!!

i posted a few months ago with my frustration when the make a wish foundation had promised a wish to my cousin that is 7 with cerebral palsy and then took their promise away.

well i am happy to say that through advocacy on my part and my cousins part, the starlight foundation is going to send him this june!!!

I know I was very critical of Make a Wish Foundation. I still have a beef with them.

However, it's FANTASTIC news that your cousin is getting his wish granted! Your persistence paid off. Well done!
