i was just sitting here, reflecting on my day.
the last month has basically been pretty crappy for me and a rollercoaster of emotions.
i knew i was in bad shape when my landlord told me i could have absolutely no pets in my apartment.
The big smile on my Grandsons face as he tells me..."Your my guy, Grandma!"

And, HOPEFULLY, they are at Grandmas house doing those things! While Mom is at home getting some much deserved peace and quiet

just a bit of fluff...what's your favourite men's cologne or women's perfume scent?.
have you ever got a gentle wiff of a really nice cologne and wanted to ask the owner what the name of it is??
if its a woman i will ask, only because i want to go out and buy some.
For me: Anais Anais. Been wearing it for over 15 years. When I was in banking, I had a customer give me some as a gift. Been hooked on it every since. Gotten lots of compliments when I wear it.
Hubby doesn't wear cologne very often. When he does, I like Obsession for Men used sparingly.

i don't see why we should allow such blatant discrimination on the board as to allow a thread "for women" only, asking their favorite men's cologne.

my proclaimer's book is in storage right now, but i did a post some years ago on a picture in that book.
it's the picture of the dubs sitting down listening to joe rutherford rant and rave at one of the "7 trumpet" assemblies in the 1920's.
if you look at the picture, you will see that all females had their heads covered, and many of the head coverings were what looked like doilies or paper napkins!
Well, considering that the WTS is a money making corporation, one would think that they could design an appropiate headcovering for the women. All that would be required to "purchase" one, would be a "donation".
I'm sure that the sisters would consider just about anything besides a paper napkin, or tissue, to be haute couture. Even a handy, dandy little bag to store it. That way it could be carried and used at a moments notice.

My REAL name isn't even Andee!
That was the first username I registered with back nearly a year ago. And like Andi said, people kept mixing us up. So, I decided to change my name. Then, there was a problem with the second name, so I changed to this one. I think I have a username fetish. Anyway, people kept referring to me as Andee, so that is how I sign my posts. Andi pointed out to me in chat once that my latest username can also be shortened to BG. So, I just added to the confusion to the BeautifulGarbage/BillyGoat thingy.
When I first saw the title of this thread I thought that maybe Andi was challenging me to wrestling match. You know, like the mud or jello kind. She may be smaller than me, but there's the old saying: The bigger they are, the harder they fall. Besides, you are younger than me too.
I have a great fondness for Andi. She's one of the nicest people on this board and is certainly on my list as one person I would love to meet in person.

i saw this on a tv programme a year or so ago and thought of it today for some reason:.
a wages clerk at a small company was working on the payslips when she noticed a mistake with one of the employees wages.
as it was his day off but the wages had to be paid into the bank that day she decided to ring him up to check on whatever the problem was.. he answers the phone and she says "hi" and starts to explain the problem.. for some reason though, he is amazed and keeps asking how show knew he'd be there !?.
Here's another. Along the lines of Andi's.
When I met my husband he was sharing a house with a roommate that was the last house I lived in before my my parents divorced. It was literally the last place that my whole family was together. The bedroom he used was the same one that was mine.
We went to the same high school, though I graduated a year ahead of him. We hung out with many of the same people and I knew his girlfriend, who was friends with a good friend of mine. We had no inkling that each other existed at the time.
We didn't meet until six years later.

Back in the 1970's there was a show here in the US called "That's Amazing!". It was a rather silly show, overall. However, I do recall them airing a story of a teenager that was visiting here from Europe. I can't remember which country, exactly. On a US five dollar bill she wrote something. Her name and some little verse, can't remember exactly what it was (Geez, the memory goes first!). Then she spent it.
Anyway, a few years later she came back on a return visit. While after paying for some items while shopping, she received that SAME five dollar bill in her change.
