You are going to JW meetings, but have read Chekov? Well, then, you must find the WTS "literature" to be rather tedious. Even to the point of, well, lets just say, uninspiring?

How petty is JW's God............
by LyinEyes ini hope that i will be able to properly express this thought on the board , that has been stuck in my head.
as a jw , i was always so concerned with pleasing jehovah.
was i paying strict attn at the meetings, was my heart in the ministry, all the other works you are supossed to love to do.

What also gets to me is how "god" "Jehovah" or whatever, always seems to get the credit for all the GOOD things that people need, get, or pray for. However, if it's negative or bad, well, it's demons or satan.
And the other thing that always bothered me about religion in general, not just the WTS, is that one can do the most sick, twist, demented crimes, but as long as they "believe", ask for forgivness, (or follow the Org) they get "salvation". However, someone who is honorable, giving, and makes the world a better place because they are in it, are going to perish, or burn in hell, because they are not a "believer".

I remember Alien scaring me. I remember the whole theatre jumping out of their seats when the baby alien popped out of that guys chest.It was such a thrilling movie, though. I guess it didn't bother me much because of the setting of the movie.
The movie that completely creeped me out for years was JAWS. I was 13 at the time I saw it. I was a So. Cali beach girl and I couldn't go in the water for YEARS after seeing that movie. Even swimming in pools gave me the creeps. Yeah, like a shark was going to come up through the pool drain and bite my leg off.[8>]

I just got ripped off for two grand :-(
by Mindchild insometime yesterday or this morning, i was ripped off for $2,000 in cash.
the money was in an unlocked attache case inside my private room of a shared home.. i kept about $5,000 in cash in my attache case inside my bedroom.
yesterday, i spent about $2,000 of that money buying textbooks (this is my occupation), leaving $3,000 in two envelopes, one having $1,000 and the other $2,000.

Since when is dealing in CASH illegal???
I ran a legit business (non-ferrous metals) for years that dealt mostly IN CASH. Which is the NORM for that business. Literally, I could go through 10 to 20 thousand dollars A DAY. A check? Visa?? Yeah, right. I would have been laughed at. My best customers would have flown the coupe elsewhere to someone that would give them CASH.
Get ripped off for cash? Kiss it goodbye, baby! Unless you have the bills marked, there is no way anything is going to be done. Oh sure, file a useless police report. Make accusations that cannot be proven. Nothing can or will be done about it.
Just my opinion.
