according to the "revelation - it's grand climax" book on page 116 par.9.

it says that when jesus annointed ones have been tried and sifted, then they will recieve a "permanent mark' on their forehead that they have been tried and found worthy.

they can't then lose their salvation.

What Things Irritated You While A Witness?

i used to hate it when i'd listen to brother blow give his long winded comment about how we're all supposed to do this or that----and he was barely considered a witness......we had a few elders, and especially the po who would go overtime just because they could.

the po's bookstudy always went overtime.

45 minutes into the meeting he was still on paragraph 3. and he would read every scripture including the ones quoted!!!

The show-offs used to irk me...there were plenty of them....they called it 'positive peer pressure'.

The parents who used to show off their kids like how their three year old could recite all the books of the bible.

The pioneer who used to show off how many bible students they had.

The elder who used to show off how many great sacrifices he had made to become an elder and serve the congregation.

The elder's wife who used to show off how privileged she was to have the blessing of working with the circuit overseer in field service.

Then there was the new car, new outfit, new hairdo, new job, new boat blah blah blah.

The meetings were great for all of the above.

How many?

so when you were df'd, how many halls were you announced in?.

reliable rumor has it that the three in my family who have either da'd or been df'd in the past month were announced in two seperate halls 20 miles apart.. i don't think this is standard procedure?

any thoughts?

I think I was only announced in one congregation as being DA....but the district overseer at the time made mention of me (or my situation..not by name though - how considerate) at the next district assembly....as a warning to others or something to that effect.

if you could rent a bill board where you knew jehovah's witnesses would see it, what would you put on it to try to effectively reach them?

and don't forget that lots of other people would see it to.

maybe the regular joe would be able to develope some good questions from your ad too.

my 40 acres is in the hills to the right.. 130 years old and possibly the only one remaining on the entire australian coast.

it's my favorite fishing place.

did you feel like it was a festive holiday like easter or did you just feel like it was another meeting that you had to attend?

I did. For some years my ex husband would deliver part of the talk on the night - I can't remember if it was the bread part or the wine part of the talk - I used to tune right out and find myself wondering what was happening on ER that night instead of listening to the talks. Wearing something new always gave me the feeling that it was worthwhile being there. What a joke.
