i am already thinking of ideas.
my sister had an online relationship with a man from holland (they are now married in the us) anyhow, they would send eachother packages and the coolest things he would send was different foods from there... cookies the us doesn't have, chocolate spread for toast.... this is my first gift exchange since i was a kid, so anyone have some ideas?
( is this kosher to ask?

i have never owed a flag, certainly never flown one at my home.
today i hung one proud and high on my front stoop.
i bought two of them - one will likely be hung in the back entrance area.
Cultural differences... I never saw the (blue, red and white) flag on any private home in France.
Yes, you must be used to the white "We Surrender" flag. Sorry, couldn't help myself.
I think in general Americans are far more patriotic (at least visually) then most other nationalities (Canada included).

my daughter started school this year and in her class are 3 jw kids who happen to be relatives but she doesn't know this.. anyway, i'm pretty much known for my anti witnessing in my town so a few mothers have come up to me and asked what they should do about sending xmas cards to these kids, i don't know what theyshould do or what i should do, i feel mean leaving them out but i don't want to be responsible for them being given cards fromtheir friends only to have them taken away by their parents.. should i maybe send them a non xmassy card and some sweets?
they are only aged 3-4, i feel sorry for them..
Don't treat them any differently then the other kids. If you're going to send a card and sweets to the non-JW kids, do the same.

so my hubby wanted to go to church yesterday.
it was a non-denominational one in the town next to ours.
i went along because he feels he needs a church to attend to keep him on the right track.
I wouldn't leave my kids with just anyone, especially a in a church until I was comfortable with them. Find another one if they're not going to allow you to get to that comfort level first.
