I can't believe they're giving out invitiations. I'm 40 miles from where the DC is going to be held, do you think anyone in the city who isn't a JW is going to go? Come to think of it, I don't recall ever seeing anyone at a DC just show up.

the first time i missed the memorial, i was sick and couldn't go, and felt guilty because that meeting was so important.. then another year, i missed again, this time i wasn't sick.
i still felt guilty, because i still believed in the religion to a certain extent.
i didn't go because i didn't want to go back to the meetings, and feel trapped once more.. maybe some feel guilty that they aren't doing anything for the memorial or easter, depending which religion you think is right, because after all jesus did say to remember him..

I got Quick Tax again this year. Took 30 mins, but wouldn't you know I screwed it up? I did my wife's and mine both, between us we had 4 T 4's. ON EACH T4 I forgot to enter box 22 (I think). ON EACH ONE!!!!! Big deal? Yeah, that's the taxes paid box. I finished and owed over $6000. Turns out it was an $11,000 error, good thing I went back and checked.
I was annoyed the the software didn't give some sort of error warning. I mean isn't it odd to have an employer and pay no taxes? It should have caught it.

Great story, Kwin. I wonder how many times a year this type of exchange occurs in field service. You would think some of these points would start to sink in, but they don't seem to have much visible affect on the JW's.
I would say not that often. I was never in my JW "career" engaged in conversation with anyone like that. I wouldn't think it would happen that often at all. But, maybe I just didn't try hard enough.

if i remember correctly, someone last year posted the memorial talk outline a week or so before the memorial.. does anyone have access to this year's outline?

i'm curious because of the new wt article that basically backs away from teaching that the 144,000 were all chosen by 1935. i'd like to see how it is mentioned in this year's talk because, as we all know, the memorial talk is more about the anointed and how they alone partake than it is about jesus..
I could have sworn I've seen one online before.
