i just got a call from a friend of mine who was driving his 2 year old son back to his mothers' house near woodstock, ontario.
the sky was fine when he left his house, but within a couple of minutes, a tornado hit and he got caught in the tail end of it.
the wind picked up his truck (with him and the baby in it) and threw it in the ditch.

Join the club. We got hammered again today down here, and it hit much closer to my house. Many felled trees within a few blocks, and power is out in most of the town. But I think other than one branch, everything here is okay. Whatever happened to gentile thunderstorms?

Yes, he was a CO in this area for a time.

while he says he has not seen a letter ,he tells me that at the last visit the co told his body of elders pretty much what is being said here on jwd.. he gave some examples: .
1- if a young ms/pioneer, attends college and lives at home, would he and his elder dad be deleted?
the young man is "spiritually focused".. 2- an elder's daughter attends college in the hopes of having a good job in the future and dad promotes this course of action.

This is very subjective, and can be manipulated any way the BOE decides locally. It will probably shake out as a sexist thing, after all, all good JW women are supposed to get married early, and support their husbands. So the men may get an education, but the women are screwed.
