so lied to wife to go to apostafest meetup....hopped on bike..and btw...i stole her ipod...the little white 4gig one....loaded it up off an employees song list at work...not the best..but ok..tons of johnny cash....made it almost to charlotte on the interstate...rode 95 mph the whole way...do that a lot...not sure why...but was going for a new record to charlotte....and then...the hard rain began....shit.
i am pretty good in storm on a bike fortunately...slowed and followed a ups semi in the right lane...with our drought apparently everyone has forgotten to slow when it rains!
!...27 cars in 2 miles...several were pile ups...but funny...i was sooooo nearly killed or wonderfully maimed.

i have just had a long conversation with a dear friend, and we came to the same conclusion most people do not really think.. he is 75 and is fizzing with ideas, got a phd at 60. in fractals( no have little idea what they are).

the reasons are simple and i am prepared to discuuss that if you want.. i have observed in relationships recently, my own included, that we ignore the what is happening, and often to our, and our familie's long term benefit.

They were supposed to knock me out for mine, but apparently I needed more anesthesia. The last thing I remembered was screaming:
WHOA HOOOOOOOOOOOO, then the doctor said to give me more. I checked out okay on that test, but later found out that I needed my gall bladder removed.

The phosphorescence from the prop wash is caused by the phytoplankton in the water. One of my favorite things to do during a night dive in the ocean is to have all of the divers turn off their lamps all at once and watch them glow. It is a surreal experience.

I was suffering through another boring afternoon session, and I decided to slide out to the parking lot to take a snort or two out of the flask in my car. I was a little self conscious going out, afraid that someone would see me. So I slide into the driver's seat and take a big gulp of vodka. I then look around, hoping that know one saw what I had done. A few cars away, I saw an ex-Bethelite elder in his car doing the exact same thing. The second swig didn't bother me then.

A very good topic! Those of us that were raised in the Borg were trained to be homophobic, along with all the other xenophobic dogma. So we really can't beat ourselves up for starting life out that way. We were inculcated from youth, as they like to brag about.
I grew an open mind as a young man, and questioned this along with all the other sexually repressive teachings of the organization. Most of them sprang from an old geezer virgin's interpretation of what homosexuals or prostitutes would do. Are you imitating something that would go on a house of prostitution? Don't you know masturbation will turn you gay? That crap scared me when I was young, but proved too ridiculous to believe as an adult.
