  I think that the situation is slightly different for those who are born in. I was raised and inculcated in the religion. I believed it hook, line and sinker. When I found out it was all a lie, I had to do more than grieve. I had to completely reevaluate EVERYTHING that I ever thought was true.

  I did my best to start with a clean slate, but there have been challenges along the way. In depth conversations with you and others on this forum have helped immensely. Yes, I agree, this is a great place to find support.

  Newbies - How are you Benefiting from the Supportive Discussion on JWD ?

  how are you benefiting from the supportive discussion you are partaking in here on jwd ?

  do you see a different sense of freedom of speech which you can partake in - as opposed to being under " information control " as a jehovah's witness and only being allowed to talk about subjects that are previously arranged for you to discuss ?

  I just wanted to add that I appreciate the n00bs too. Support is a two way street, and reading the new member's posts takes me back to the time when I was leaving the Organization mentally. It helps to process how far we have progressed, and what we may need to work on.

  David,

  You are right, Lewis is good. I am just an anti-McLaren sort of guy. He is very talented, maybe someday he will leave the dark side, and drive for another team. I just have never liked McLaren, and their tactics. The spygate scandal last year shows that they are not innovators, they are thieves of intellectual data.

  He will win a championship eventually. Talent rises to the top.

  We had Steve Lett as a CO back in the day, and during his first talk, I thought he was joking with his over emphasis. But then it kept going on and on. I had to try not to laugh.
