I too, would like to find out more comments about his past history. His biography says he spent 19 years in the circuit work in Canada. Some one must have a few more stories about him.
As to how he got to the top of the ladder? How does anyone get to the top of any large corporation? Over the dead bodies left behind him, and down on his knees shoe polishing and stroking the egos of his superiours.

Carpal Tunnel

over 6000 times, the tetragrammaton is mentioned in the ot.
yet for some reason, most bibles do not use the name jehovah or yahweh but a few times.

My two cents:
Ancient Hebrew had no vowels in their alphabet. Only consanants. Most consanants are hard, pronounced with the lips or tip of the tongue. The ability to identify vowel sounds with letters of the alphabet had not yet been discerned.
My theory is that the name of Big J, was all vowels. That is something like eee oh aaah.
In English we have similar expressions an words, for example the word awe, the exclamation 0h, as in Oh my God!, Another example is the old cowboy yell, Yeeeeee Haaah.
So what the Big Guy was telling Moses was my name is not in your vocabulary.
It is something like what Lao Tsu said,
