i have just received today my three copies of the blood essay from baylor today.

the title for this thread comes from the expression of another poster, who said, i have received my copies....wow!the big vow expresses my determination to use this essay outside the legal system in the pubic domain and raise awareness of the malevolant blood policy of the watchtower.

public opinion is my jury, the judge is heaven itself along with anyone else who wishes to give judgement on this case.

This tragedy took place many years ago, I do not have many details. But scriptural misrepresentations of the WT are evident. Their errors of omission in their teachings are gross.
In ancient Israel a newly married man was allowed one whole year with his wife before being conscripted for warfare. Have you ever heard of a pioneer getting one year leave of absence because he got married? Where I live, working women are legally entitled to a leave of absence if they are carrying a child.

5 “In case a man takes a new wife, he should not go out into the army, nor should anything else be imposed onto him. He should continue exempt at his house for one year, and he must make his wife whom he has taken rejoice. Deut 24:5 NWT

Ah, but the WT would say, that was in the OT, they were in the promised land, today the preaching work takes precedence over everything. Paul writes to Titus:

that they may recall the young women to their senses to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be sound in mind, chaste, workers at home, good, subjecting themselves to their own husbands, so that the word of God may not be spoken of abusively. Titus 2:4,5 NWT How can they love their children if they are required to demonstrate their love to God above all?

15 However, she will be kept safe through childbearing, provided they continue in faith and love and sanctification along with soundness of mind. 1Tim 2:15 NWT

Was this young woman kept safe in her childbearing? Pioneers are frowned upon if they have children. I know there are other ways of looking at this scripture for example, at the event of Jesus death, his mother and other woman were at the scene, along with John, and they were not bothered by the Roman soldiers. The rest of the apostles were in hiding.

So any comments? Is the WT misrepresenting the scriptures with their blood policy. Is there not also a non- religious secular misrepresentation? If woman are legally allowed to have a leave of absence to bear children in the work force, why not a authorized leave of absence from the pioneer work, so the husband can earn money and the mother can carry her child without anxiety and stress?

Although this case is so far in the past, and there is not much possibility of finding all the details. However, it should be acknowledged,

I am acting on in memory of of all those who have lost their lives because of this non-Biblical dogma, and all their relatives still living who have suffered loss.

In memory of ++++++: From my memories of my days and involvement with Jay Dubs, I have three incidences where people have lost their lives. How many of you, know of cases where people have lost their lives with their refusal to take blood under the influence of the WT God that demands human sacrifice for the vindication of his name. What I would like to see, is not only a reference to these cases, but how the WT has misrepresented not only medical references but also misrepresented the God of Love and His Son, who gave his blood for the deliverance of humanity.
My first in memory of: goes to young pioneer woman in Montreal whose maiden name was Connie Leonard, the daughter, I believe of a single mom. She married circa nineteen sixties and became pregnant. Because she and her husband did not have the funds to have her baby delivered in a hospital, they went to a midwifery, run by Catholic nuns to have her baby. The baby was born, Connie bled to death, the midwives, were not knowledgeable enough to save her.

I will post later, what misrepresentations if any were involved in this tragedy.

I have two other cases that I will post later, I am awaiting for some documentation about them. I have spoken to a lawyer friend of mine and he indicated that their is a possibility that even though one has died from the blood issue, there exists perhaps a way for a relative to pursue litigation in memory of that person. I have to verify this.

i have been having a discussion with scholar.

and like most discussions with a jw we aren't getting too far.. scholar insists that the wts/jws are known for:are known internationally as a clean and moral peopleour organization alone stands as a beacon of truth, hope and faithadvance people spiritually, emotionally and physically.

there are other wonderful qualities that he attributes to the wts/jws but that is usually the gist of his remarks.. of course most x-jws will say something quite different.. the experiment is this:.

Wasn't there 0ne, (maybe two) , cases in US where a Jehovah's Witness murdered his wife and family because he wanted them to be resurrected and not die at Armageddon? Seems to me it was in western US somewhere maybe two years ago. I am sure it was posted on JWD.

Also I will continually bring up this point as long as I live, until people get it.

Brother Nathan Home Knorr, told my Gilead graduating class of winter of l960:

"Go to your assignments and die there if necessary"

When I got to my assignment,(Pakistan) I learnt that the wife of the branch servant had died of fever, because she didn't get proper medical care and all of the other missionaries couldn't care for her because they had to get their time in.

I nearly died there. When I told the zone servant that I was sick and couldn't go out in the service with him, he thought I didn't look sick enough, he wrote a bad report to Brooklyn and a letter came back, authorized by Knorr, for me to turn in my missionary badge, that is my missionary instruction booklet, and get out of the missionary home. I lived in a concrete garage for a year, with only a cot for furniture. I got jaundice there, and nearly died. Thank God and a few friends in Quebec, definatetly not Knorr or the WT that I was delivered from that situation.

Isn't it in Raymond Franz's book that a Bethelite who was sick had to travel home to western US and had no money to fly, so the brothers in Bethel, scraped some money together for him, but when the higher ups heard about it they nixed that he had to travel by bus across US and disappeared before he got there.

My opinion is that today the Watchtower is under siege, read about the atrocities that the inhabitants of Jerusalem did to one another and to the Romans during that seige.

PROOF OF REBIRTH?

rebirth, as opposed to reincarnation, is a fascinating topic and the following two stories have been taken from the tibetan book of living and dying by sogyal rinpoche (available from amazon books).

the second story, that of a child, came to the attention of the dalai lama and he sent a special representative to interview her and verify the story.

there have been many other rebirth stories published and the subject holds a special fascination for me.

I thought that some who reach Nirvana, do not choose to remain there, but decide to come back and enable the rest of humanity to arrive there also. If that is so, then that would be my desire. At this time I can only report some things I have observed and considered during my stay in this vale of tears.

Regarding what some call the larger Universal Self, call it Holy Spirit, the Tao, Perennial Philosophy or what ever name has significance for you, I believe that the Big Eye, the big i, does exist, beyond the concept of time and space, the was, the is, and the coming.

At the same time, I consider myself, as a little eye, a small insignificant eye or I through which the universal eye sees my time and my space, my viewpoint.

In remembering what seems to be events from past lives, the sights and events are seen from a point of view and this point of view identifies itself as an i. It is the same when we remember our present past, from childhood for example. We remember and identify with the childhood i . We can relive our experiences in thought, with emotions and physical pain or joy. If the event was too traumatic we cannot remember it. But under certain circumstances it can be brought to the surface.

Is there any evidence of collective consciousness. Consider what a mob or a party is. One person can start either, and collects together in thought, emotions and place others. Suddenly the crowd takes on a mentality of its own, and arrives at a state of violence or joy that no one invidual would have dreamed of on his own.

Regarding my posting how to access past lives, I have rethought the matter and for now I choose not to post it here on this board. Buddha was said to have rememberances of all his past lives. Jesus probably also, he says (not said, past tense) Before Abraham was (past tense), I am. Also it is written somewhere (Isaiah?) Do you consider the dead on behalf of the living? To the Law and to the Testimony, if they do not abide by that they will not see the light (paraphrased)

A while ago, Barbara Anderson, in a discussion about "Nethinim helpers" mentionned in passing that when the appointments were made, there was a lot of disgruntled ~~pizzed off~~ heavies that manifested their displeasure of not being members of the select few.

Now these 1500 dismissees, who were seated in the front pews, in the warmth and comfort with the elite faithful and discreet slave, suddenly find themselves shipped out to the frozen tundra, the boondocks, the hot, steamy jungles, to where the need is great, to the tough assigments; that these ones are going to accept their assignments as a promotion and exhibit the Joy of the Lord?

How long will they wear the Bethel Glow? How much glory does the rank and file bestow on poor insignificant ex-bethelites. In the eyes of the publishers they will have been demoted no matter how much the Society tells them and the flock that it is all for Big Jah.

I may be getting away over my head here, but nevertheless.....

If I understand right, you are aguing that, the WT assumed that because they were a recognized religion they are not required to pay WC premiums. So now a judge decides they should pay "employees" claims of injury. So all they have to do now is say "Sorry, we did't know, OK we'll correct the situation."

The WT gets new ~~employees~~ monks to sign poverty wows and claims all workers, manual, cleaners, chiropractors etc. are all religious worshipers in their religious order. They spend all their time down on their knees praying to Jehovah, devoting themselves meditations, and religious teachings. Is that it?

Just as the WT has been forced to change their restaurant/cafeteria business at conventions because of sales tax issues,

Just as they have changed charging prices for their literature, and subterfugely, claiming that it is supported by voluntary contributions'

So too, they have claimed exemption from paying WC premiums, for all manual workers, making it appear that all 5800 bethel grunts are housed in Brooklyn for devotional purposes only.

The judge saw through their machinations, I hope the rest of the world, especially their rank and file do also.
